Taroko Gorge National Park in Hualien (太魯閣國家公園) - Top Hikes & Things to See 🇹🇼

Taroko Gorge National Park is located on the Eastern side of Taiwan 🇹🇼 near the city of Hualien! It is both - one of the most popular and most BEAUTIFUL attractions in the ENTIRE country! Depending on the time of the year, you may either be fighting the crowds or face park closures as the park may close due to typhoon warnings.

What an incredibly unique landscape and rock formations! It looks so well worth the long and tiring journey for a once in a lifetime experience! I’m so glad that you were able to acquire a permit to hike the trail! The drone footage makes me feel like I'm suspended in mid-air over the gorge.

It was a lot of hassle to get this permit and then to obtain permission once at the checkpoint, but i was the first one through the gate and it felt like i was there all alone! Incredible experiencce

It takes your breath away! The tall rock walls, the beautiful color of the water and just the nature! If there is ONE place in Taiwan I recommend, it’s this!
