  • I begin my South Oregon coast roadtrip adventure just outside of the town of Newport, OR. I will be following US Highway 101 and taking you along to Oregon's most incredible State Parks. We'll check out Seal Rock, Sister Rocks, stop for some delicious clam chowder in Bandon, OR and explore my favorite portion of the Oregon's Coast - Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor!
Don't forget to visit Fish & Chips Chowder House for delicious smoked salmon clam chowder!

The Oregon coast looks AMAZING! I’ve only ever been to Columbia river gorge. This makes me want to go back!! Beautiful!

Columbia River gorge is a great choice! You have to make a trip back out to the coast, the drive itself is incredible and the coastline - try going during whale migration to see them too!

Those state parks along the coastline look amazing. The Oregon coastline looks uniquely different then Cali and Washington. I’ve never considered visiting Oregon, but I will add these state parks to my bucket list.

Have you visited the coast of WA and CA before? I’m going to Big Sur in two weeks - we’ll see how it goes with the crazy weather down in CA right now

@@LukeGeeTravels I haven’t been to WA yet, planning to visit Olympic NP this summer. I explored the CA coast from San Diego to San Francisco in a red Ford Mustang.

Bandon Fish House!!!!!!!! Heck yeah, I eat there EVERY time we visit. If you're still in the area, in South Beach/Newport is South Beach Fish Market

It was my first time trying SMOKED salmon chowder and it was delicious, I still think about it! Funny you mention the fish market in Newport because that was my other choice I considered

I just love the ruggedness off it, with less towns in between it feels more serene!
