Clint always told me he could hear music notes in his head constantly
Jimmy Fields (Joe Bill's Country Pic-nic fame) and I went to see Clint in the 80s at a show in Fort Worth.That night Jimmy said Merle Haggard had heard about Clint and was gonna grab him up.

Clint recently had a stroke and is sadly unable to play now. He is a patient at a nursing home in Fort Worth, I live about ten minutes away, I am thinking about visiting him. I met him a few years ago at a guitar expo in Dallas,we talked for about twenty minutes, he's a very sweet friendly guy. I doubt he would remember me,but I'm sure he's pretty depressed now and he might appreciate a visit from a fan. If anyone out there lives in the area and would like to come with me, reply to this comment.
