Just get it and use it. You’ll love it. One suggestion - I replaced the stock scope with a Aimpoint red dot. I like that much better than the stock scope. Sighted in a 20 the bow shoots 3 inches low at 30.
You know I'm just wondering you bought that cuz you said it would be easier for you to be able to hunt out of a saddle with that crossbow but if you're having a hard time talking it on the ground how are you going to re-cock it if you're up in the saddle if you need another shot or say you miss and you need to reload it how are you going to Cock it up there
I seen were Woods indoor range and archery had them on sale from reg. 899.00 to 699.00. I'd love to shoot one to see if I really like it like I think I will!
I bet you’ll like it. Also, if you have questions you can call the owner of the company, Jerry Goff. He answers the phone himself and will send all the time you need explaining things,
Actually, I took the set screw out because it kept loosening. I put the knob screw back on it and have since had no trouble with loosening. But, to answer your question, it’s either a 1/4-20 or 5/16-20. If you go to the hardware store with your knob screw they can fix you up - that’s what I did. Good luck this season.
This is absolutely the most dangerous bow for the shooter. The trigger mechanism does not hold and can go off by itself. The company claims to have a warranty, but it does not make good in its promises. An absolute fail. I would seriously advise anyone to avoid wasting your money on this contraption and buy a reliable name brand instead.
@@olewoodoutdoors God bless you if you ever have an issue. Owner Jerry is an ass and does everything he can to put you off and not warranty his product. I thought it was a good idea until it had a defect w the trigger and he held the bow hostage demanding shipping and refusing to send the little gold replacement sting holder. I’ve had the bow 5-years and it has not worked properly since day one. He should have replace it then as it is a manufacturer defect, but he’s too cheap to honor his product. That’s what happens when you have to deal with an individual instead of a reputable company.
I have my mini 4 years and every shot it's just perfect
Agreed. I don’t use my Ravin R26 anymore because the mini is better, especially in a tree saddle.
Hello friend, I’m in Natchez just ordered a mini. Do you still have yours? Any suggestions or comments on yours?

I know there’s a big price difference there, but I’m kind of looking between this and the Ravin R 10 and it will be my first crossbow
Can’t go wrong with either one. I also have an R26 and they’re both great crossbows.
@@olewoodoutdoors supper awesome thanks sir!
I have an r10. Might get one of these too.
@@Labradorslobber I have an R26, but actually like the mini better. Can't go wrong either way.
A guy on another video said because the scope is offset you should aim about an inch and a quarter to the right.

Good point. It would be tough to cock it in the tree. Hasn’t mattered so far as I haven’t missed, but I get your point. Thanks for watching.
Does it come with a left hand version?
I believe so. Find it here: verticalcrossbow.com/crossbow-vertical/

What size set screw did you use?

I’ve hunted with this crossbow and have had zero trouble. I prefer it over my Ravin R26.
