  • I will definitely be making more of these as I still have plenty of snakes that need to get their makeover. Since this is quite time consuming I can't fit many enclosures in one video so I hope you guys don't mind that!
Give me your impressions in the comments and please don't forget that I will eventually be adding plants into all of these enclosures still!

very very small heat pad. Heat pad should be about 1/3 the size of the entire enclosure. Not trying to start drama or be that annoying person who is always negative, that’s just a tip

Suggestions: i know not everyone has the budget but maybe invest in a better cam in future. phone footage is ok but exotic animals look cooler with dslr.
eg. close ups of the snake. even if you stay with the phone you could do more close ups of animals.
    otherwise good work.

I'm trying to save up! But i want to buy a really good camera if anything and theyre so pricey so it takes some time 😅 do you have suggestions for a camera i could get?

@@KioWatanabe I think even a cheap dslr could get really impressive b roll.
Especially since you are in total control of the filming conditions (filming indoors/can direct the space etc). I recently got a Sony a7iii myself but (haven't used it much as it's not that ergonomic).
I mean normally they say production value doesn't matter but I think in the realm of exotic pets on youtube viewers are more hungry for the aesthetics. They want those money shots cos they're into the pets cos of the look/exoticness. Just my opinion tho.
Thought I'd drop some suggestion cos you look like you're putting in a lot of effort editing and with music etc. I know how much work it is behind the scenes even though people think it looks effortless.
"how to set up a skink tank for beginners" type titles may also attract more long term viewers through search results. Stuff ppl will be likely to search.
      It's a one two punch.
Have sexy shots of snakes/the animals etc interspersed with commentary. And have titles that people are most likely to search now and in future. Good luck.

    Ohhh you live in Germany?
May I ask you where you got your ball pythons if you got them here?

There's a reptile show in Hamm every 3 month and I usually go there and get a few snakes there :) else you can try the app "deine tierwelt" to find breeders!

Since you have both ball pythons and praying mantis´s, I would like to aks you something. I have a baby ball in I huge bioactive vivarium with live plants and insects. I have owned praying mantis´s in the past and thought to myself How about I keep a mantis from west africa, that has the same temperature and humidity requirements in the same vivarium as my snake? They wouldn´t bother each other, would they? I thought about a Sphodromantis viridis for example. (info: the temperature in my terrarium is around 28 to 32°C at daytime and goes down to about 22 at night time. The humidity at daytime is around 50%. It rises at night or when I spray it down.)
Thanks so much, your content is awesome!

Well generally I'm not a fan of cohousing any animals, i always think you can take the best care of any animal when the setup is specifically for that species! I dont think anything will go wrong if you cohouse a mantis and a ball python as a ball python doesnt hunt insects and if you get a species thats also from sub-saharan Africa (same temp/humidity requirements). Generally i personally wouldnt do it but i also think if you decide to do so, nothing should go wrong 😊

@@KioWatanabe Thank you! Yes I definitly know what you mean. I wouldn't want to cohabitate more similar animals either.
If I go through with it, I will have to make some changes to the enclosure. And I'll do more research for sure :)

CinnysHerps if u can show me a source then I might be more willing to believe that but all the reasearch I have done from known keepers, and reputable resources have said otherwise. It is dangerous as if they fall they can get injured because they are a heavy bodied snake.
