Smith & Wesson have blued/black and a black carbon nitride/Melonite finish. Of the two the blued ones are prone to rust. The M&P black cuffs are Melonite always. The standard 100 black cuffs can be blued or Melonite.
For my cuffs I use Sentry Marine Tuf-Cloth as well Marine Tuf- Glide (Oil) no matter the finish but especially would recommend for blued cuffs as that formula is designed for rust prevention around salt water environments.

I notice some m100-1 m&p still has the old slide lock. Do they still make the m&p m100-1 in that configuration?

Hello, to our knowledge the current m100-M&P models have the lever lock and not the slide lock. That's the only real difference between the M100 and M100 M&P. Otherwise they are the same.

@@guardianoutfitters2978 so even the m100 does come with the level locks, whether its a m&p or not. Yeah.

@@GhettoFabulous670 No, they just have a very similar name. The M100 has the slide lock, M100 M&P has lever.
