Smith & Wesson have blued/black and a black carbon nitride/Melonite finish. Of the two the blued ones are prone to rust. The M&P black cuffs are Melonite always. The standard 100 black cuffs can be blued or Melonite. For my cuffs I use Sentry Marine Tuf-Cloth as well Marine Tuf- Glide (Oil) no matter the finish but especially would recommend for blued cuffs as that formula is designed for rust prevention around salt water environments.
Hello, to our knowledge the current m100-M&P models have the lever lock and not the slide lock. That's the only real difference between the M100 and M100 M&P. Otherwise they are the same.

I notice some m100-1 m&p still has the old slide lock. Do they still make the m&p m100-1 in that configuration?
