@@battlevgaming9887 wrong..there isn't. "screamo" is a term used by those who don't know what genre they are listening to that has screaming in it. "Screamo" is a blanket term, that doesn't really exist. There's death metal, hardcore, heavy metal, post hardcore, metalcore, and many many more.
@@HYDN150 this is probably realistically like an off-shoot between a few genres (post-hardcore/metalcore/some screamo).
If you want to go with bands that are labeled screamo (at least in the original sense), it'd be artists like orchid, city of caterpillar, saetia, shikari, an embrace of angels, you and i, welcome the plague year, etc. Though when the scene started to gain traction in the early 2000s a lot of post-hardcore bands and kind of any emo based band that screamed was labeled as such.
Doesn't matter much to me, but it's a pretty interesting mix-match of influences that came about then.
