Knowledge is a cycle of learning and teaching. The more you teach, the better you learn. If you can't teach something, do you really understand it? In this video, we lay out the 4 S's of effective teaching and show how it is implemented in specific ways, like in the Feynman Technique or the Whole Part Whole Method. These will shown with detailed walkthroughs to help you implement them into your studies.
🙏 Thanks for watching!

1. Teach Simple Language
2. Teach on Stage
3. Teach While Sketching
4. Teach to Stumble
Teaching = Mastery
Yes but you know what to teach how much to teach .like when we talk àbout UA-cam you must know what audience want when audience is child you had to explain UA-cam as app in which people post vedios this one for 5 years world
For graduation guys we just need to know UA-cam as app and people post vedios with different content to get views and money through ads
When you say to software developer .you need to teach them UA-cam is software where people post vedios or upload with different content that data is stored in some data base , front end, back end ,code etc
Teaching is good but when we on flow teaching never stops
For a topic UA-cam you easily write a book of 100 pages , lecture share some points we need to learn that and recall back using mind maps and chunk method
Brought me from 86% to 98.7%... If you're watching this and applying these techniques correctly, you are guaranteed to ace your exams, quite literally! 🤩🤩Thanks for the tips!!
He just explained how to study well and cholecystitis all in 12 minutes 😂
🤓 that was the plan
@Study Gz stones in gallbladder
@Study Gz :) no need for sorry, have gud day
Let me correct you he explained cholecystitis twice 😂😂😂
but what causes the inflamation??
Video Summary from Recall:
Don't rely so much on easy techniques, like passive reading.
Feynman Technique:
Put words in simple terms. Use a story. Always ask Why? Why is this important? Why does this happen?
(Forgot everything else)
Getting the big picture Idea:
Get the main idea and break it down into subtopics
(forgot everything else)
1: Teach simple language
2:Don't rely on notes so much,
3: Teach out loud, speak,
4: Teach while Sketching, you asorb, visulaize, and learn,
5: Teach our weaknesses, what we're not so storng at
Two main teaching techinques
Feynman:
Ask why? Break down complicated ideas into something simple. Ask a bunch of whys.
-Find weaknesses
-Clarify with professors
-Then teach it again
Whole part WHole technique:
Take a big picture/ idea than break it down. When breaking it down make sure to connect the smaller parts to the big picture.
Combine them together
This was really good! I always heard people talk about teaching yourself helps you learn but I didn't know it could go as in-depth as this. Thank you!
You are a legend
Fantastic breakdown! Thanks for this!
@@KoiAcademyI’m your Big fan from India Sir ❤
I literally don't know whether you would read this comment or not but thank you so so much for the hard work on the way you explain all the things and making our school life so so so easy I really do appreciate all your hard work and consistency. ✨✨
I read it and our pleasure. Thanks for supporting and being here. We’re here to help
I am a second year medical student, and you inspire me. Now that I think about it, I now have a role model🤣. The way you just make it look easier makes me believe it can get easier everytime I practice to be better, following your guide, and you're just so realistic that it makes me realize life is going to suck sometimes, but in the end, with better planning and guide, it's all gonna be okay📌❣Much love here. Oh, and I always share your videos I've watched to some special people out there🙂
A summary for reference for my fellow rangers 🐼:
Watch the video for detailed explanation of each step🔥
Method
The 4 S's:
1. "Teach in Simple language" - Explain the concept to a child
2. "Teach on Stage" - Explain out loud and from memory to avoid dependancy on notes
3. "Teach while sketching" - Express your thoughts on paper to better understand the material
4. "Teach to stumble " - Actively look for gaps in your understanding when explaining
Techniques (how to use the 4 S's):
Feynman (Simplifies a topic)
1.Pick a topic
2. Do the 4 S's continuously asking why until its broken down
3. Use this opportunity to identify gaps and fill them
4. and solidify understanding through associating, analogies and story telling
5. Rinse and repeat
Whole part whole(Connects at topic)
1. Address the whole big picture
2. Explain various parts using the 4 S's (parts can be embedded so long as you do step 3)
3. After each part like back to how it relates to the bigger picture
The combination of this being:
1. pick a topic to teach
2. teach from memory and while sketching
3. teach it starting with the big picture (the whole), and elaborating down to supporting topics (the part)
4. keep breaking it down into fundamental ideas and simple terms (feynman)
5. then try to consolidate it all and connect it back to why it's important in the big picture (the whole)
6. identify your gaps
7. Rinse and repeat
Thank you Mike and Matty!!!
Epic
Thanks!
as a 4th year med student, i am still studying how to study! Mike and Matty, the cajun koi academy is helping me a lot! Thank you
Keep me posted on your progress! Good luck with your 4th year!
I want to thank you for explaining it so simply and making our school life much better!!☺️
I know right ❤
OMG this level of creativity is just mind-blowing really! Thank you it was so fun and enriching to watch this masterpiece!!

Damn bro. Thanks for this ❤❤❤❤
Damn
But first you should understand new content 😅😅 later you teach it someone
Personally, this is the best video you guys have made! I have watched other channels, including other videos you've made, but for some reason I kept feeling stuck. This one simplified studying so much! I just started PTA school and I can't wait to put this into play 🙌
I love the breakdown of what you did and will be putting this into practice with my own PT schooling. Thank you for all that you do!
Awesome! Let’s get it and good luck 👍🏼
I want to tutor students in a way they don't over rely on me. This video was very helpful for that.
I just really love your videos ❤.
I’m getting closer and closer to being my best and all thanks to you.
I even watch your videos on my breaks to motivate and calm myself.
Love you guys ❤🎉
Very to the point video if compared to other one's!
Great job!
Thanks!!
as a programmer - thanks for teaching me about the mechanism of cholecystitis
there are not many videos that motivated me to just watch it again, good job!
my man always help me in my worst well done keep it up✔✔🐱
You have no idea how much this video helped me. thankyou so much! Looking forward to learn more✨🧠
This video is a masterpiece, thank you for the great tips!
Wow that was really a great explanation of these learning techniques
Thanks for the amazing content & much appreciated
Hey Cajun or anyone in chat,my countries language is called Bahasa Melayu and its really important in school. It would be really nice if anyone had tips on learning languages or Bahasa Melayu in general. I need to learn it before 2024,wish me luck:D
Good luck
10/10 life changing content
I've been trying to study for the past few days but this video motivated me to study and that too effectively once again
These videos are just AMAZING!! Thank you.
Excellent 👍
bros your animation editing is so beautiful plz teach me :)
Thank you for the information! I will really try it✨
Thats close to the Feynman-Technique. I started to study that way three years ago and since that time i actually get good grades. So yeah, it is effective.
Thank you!!!!!
Absolute great video!
Thank you so much!!! Just what I needed!
Thank you again for the video.
Great work. Highly appreciate ❤️❤❤
hey u are hell of a teacher . please start on course on high school biology. we would appreciate it
Always a masterpiece! Thank you soo much :)
I don't know if you will see this comment..
I just want to ask a question on the cholecystitis
What can one do to avoid cholecystitis?
Can drinking water ease the stone formation?
Mind blowing bro
Yes! Which part got you?
I was just studying anatomy of liver...& This came up in my feed 😍
Demo Reference for Future:
Feynman Technique 5:19
Whole Part Whole Demo 8:12
To get clearer understanding of Whole Part Whole rewatch the entire video and try to identify when he explains the "whole", when he introduce and explains the "part" and how he ties it up to the "whole" at the end of each topics.
Mind Blowing!
I love Whole part Whole method
But a combined version is great
Bro made me learn something new even though I just came for learning studying techniques
That is ideal and honestly my ultimate goal! Came for the technique, stayed for the learning. 🤣🫱🏽🫲🏽
U achieved ur goal! Your welcome 😆
Haha! 🔥
Sorry but I really found cholecystitis rather unintresting although I really learned a few points like the cause of stone formation
But yeah the topic of the video is very helpful for me especially a student who just started her engineering journey thanks!!!
Wow bro the sound effects are so good
U should make biology or like any science videos or something ur soooo good omg wtf
This is great but really 'bile' as an example?? Demonstrating my utter ignorance of how my body works... And gross-out explanation nicely presented. Strangely not hungry now...
😅😅I guess I’m medicine you develop a strong stomach to gross stuff
Thanks bro
i Noticed a small problem in my taking of the techiques of Feynman --> Whole part whole.
Am i right?
I kind of would say explaining that the bladder had a stone in it kind of helped understand where i was going. the second part where the burger came firts deff worked but in my idea missed one important part.
the oumf, push that says there is something wrong or happening why is that and how does it even work.
the part with the burger comming first made it more like a burger comes in and this is how it works, but there was no real reason to start learning yet. There was no Question or problem before the anwsering.
Thank you ❤
I have a question. What does four S’s stand for in the Feynman technique?
Great Video!
## And that skill is… Teaching!
(and how to use in 2 diff ways!)
1. 1:22 Teach it in simple language
2. 2:33 Teach “on stage” (without open notes) (like driving without a gps!)
3. 3:37 Teach while sketching
1. it activates multiple regions of the brain
4. 4:17 Teach to stumble (actively look for weaknesses)
2 diff techniques:
1. 4:53 Feynman technique
1. Pick a topic to teach
2. remember the 4 S’s (ANalogies and stories)
3. keep asking why
4. go back to clarify (notes, videos, professors)
2. 7:50 whole part whole technique
1. start by addressing the whole (the big picture)
2. teach the various parts(the details) of the whole
3. wrap up by showing why the parts are relevant to the whole (tieing it back to the whole)
10:57 Both technique combo!
1. pick a topic to teach
2. teach from memoery and while sketching
3. teach it starting with the big picture (the whole), and elaborating down to supporting topics (the part)
4. keep breaking it down into fundamental ideas and simple terms (feynman)
5. then try to consolidate it all and connect it back to why its important in the big picture (the whole)
6. identify your gaps
7. repeat the cycle
My question is which software do u use to edit your videos
Loved the video🤞❤️🤗
I'm attempting competitive exams but failing every time.. I'm losing hope.. confidence.. day by day.. how to calm myslf nd keep going nd keep on trying? I feel lost
Tbh, im just sitting here wondering (as a beginner premed student), what causes the chemical imbalances in bile that creates these pieces that can get lodged...? Thats my "why"
watch video Read textbook once through take no notes
Use SQ3R
Use Fyeman/whole part whole for notes
Use Rem-note to create flash card
Schedule review sessions for test
2:19 HE'S BREAKING THE SPEED LIMIT!
Hello 5.10 Could someone enlighten me on Step 2 : Remember the 4 S’s please thank u!
Feynman technique emphasizes bottom-up, while The whole part whole technique emphasizes top-down explanation
The other thing they don't say to you often is 'job applications'
I loved Matematics and i decided to try it but there are no industries around me, so what would i able to apply into? Help me...
How to solve objective type questions
hey, do youhave a link to the sound you have in the background?
Amazing 🤩🤩🤩
These tips r life saver..... Wowwwwwwwwwwwwww
My question : when stones are in neck of gall bladder, it is removed, so we actualy have removed major organ•
Still original problem of bile salts having cholestrol stays, what should such patients do for better recovery post surgery ??
Your skin is glowing btw :)
Thank you so much!!
I just love how the pizza and cheeseburger are so small
Tests are open notes!? 😮😮😮
So do we need to teach from memory in whole part whole
It's about easily recalling the information and delivering it in a way that is effortless for you. (like how you can recall alphabets and counting without much thought)
@@KoiAcademy Thanku sir
@@KoiAcademy One more question I think u mean that I should try to teach from memory by recalling should I do it after reading the whole chapter or while I am reading the chapter between topics ?
And what about I teach myself by recording my voice and reviewing it look for gaps .
Try both. Experiment on how much your brain can retain since it's personal to you but I'd recommend you start with a paragraph. Read it first, write down the main topics (that you think you will be tested on) then teach it to yourself without looking at your notes.
@@KoiAcademysir so should I teach myself by writing it down from memory while teaching myself.
5:11 what does 4s's mean??
wait how am meant to use the feymann techniques for math?
derive from first principles
Why don't you teach medical students..you are awsome teacher ❤
I can’t believe you can sit exams with open books in medicine. I thought this was a new thing with the pandemic
Fffffff I figured it out before he said the entire video was WPW 🤯
Who could be so unlucky. Already being a lost boy, and then phone coincidentally dropping in a river. But either ways very constructive stuff man, keep it up.
I comment so my recommendation change
Start giving examples from real life first then teach so topic becomes intresting
Pause the video exactly on 11:26😂
So basically get your Asian parents for the Feyman Technique to work effectively
I literally learnt Cholecystitis! 😂
i dont get 3
Say that again
Is it me only or the video volume it too low?
nice :)
thi video:
1. teaches how to teach
2. how to study
3: cholecystitis
Insaneeee
Why do I know all the topics he is teaching ? I am not able to struggle to learn 😢, no pain no gain .
Keep notes closed
Third
forget the gentic thing THEY ARE SMARTER
guys lets admit it asians are just god fav in terms of brain power Dude is a genius as an example
just used the vdeio technique
Aw, thank you!
Second 🥈
proud to be 1st
😎
first
You are!
earlyyyy
first to put like!
❤️♥️💙
ooh im early
Early birdy
