Also, in the anime there is Satan (one of the goofiest satans in animation) who want's Sapphire's male heart to give it to his daughter (the famous witch that turns into a white cat) because she is too kind for being the daughter of the devil. One of the first animes released in Brazil. It was very popular in the 1970s.
And Princess Sapphire appears too on the brazilian comic named "turma da mônica jovem" crossover, the title is "mônica e o cavaleiro"
And this anime is a first girl gender anime

I Remember this cartoon in the 1980, the title for my country was "La Principessa Zaffiro", the opening in my languange was fantastic.

If this was released today. 95% of anime community will complain of "woke".
Why?

i have seen a modern version of this in a chinese channel
So this is coming to DVD in english sometime this year, right? I'm looking forward to it. I never got the chance to see this, being born too late and all.
This looks so much like Disney
Because they were the masters of animation in that era. Everyone wanted to emulate them.
Very popular in France
