Omg, your Spine tutorials are pure gold. I wish all other spine tutorials were like yours. Seriously, I have been using Spine for about a year now and I have learned so much from this video and the rigging video. I wish you would do more tutorials. Instantly subbed and put this video and the rigging video on my bookmark/favorite.
Thank you so much for your kindness! :) I've put a lot of effort in these tutorials, and realizing that they actually help someone is priceless to me :) I'm working on something big and Spine related, so stay tuned! ;)
Watching the creator's video playlist on their official channel, i was on the brink of giving up on this software and then i found your channel. I must say you have brilliantly put together the videos and kept the interest alive through out the process. THANKYOU and more power to you.
Hi, Think Citric!! I just started learning Spine for work, and your tutorial got me right into it! Thank you for this amazing quick start, simple and straight to the point!! Cheers!!
@@ThinkCitric It is Fun, and I'm stunned how powerful this software can be. have you seen this game done with Spine ? it's crazy amazing!! ua-cam.com/video/-7hyyMPd7ms/v-deo.html&feature=emb_logo
Excellent tutorial!!! You just turned a game developer who knew nothing about animation into... well, a noob who can create basic animations and use them in his games :) Thank you! (I was creating my 1st anim while watching the video - not as polished as yours but still decent) Too bad the "graph" widget looks different in the current version of Spine, I didn't manage to use it, but I'll take a look at the official documentation. Thank you again
I have both of the Think Citric Udemy courses on Spine Animation. They are well worth it! This program is amazing and those courses will save you a lot of time learning Spine!

thank you from the bottom of my heart for all this fantastic work you're doing. I've always loved games and animation and with your help I'm learning this awesome software that ties them together beautifully
Thanks, that was useful. Some people use bones for blinking and some use mesh. What’s the main difference? Is there an optimal way to make a character blink?
hey , i love your work even if i just found your chanel... im interested in game dev but i have no started yet i hope ill do it soon , i hope you get your goal with game dev
Got my meshes set, got my key frames keyed... But it won't play. Press play button, It changes to stop, seems like its playing but nothing happens. Anybody know why?
Sure, you can make another animation with the same rig. To add a new animation, simply go to the Tree View -> click on the Animation section -> Then press New -> Animation.
Translate doesn't seem to move the children of the selected bone to where I try to, it just moves that bone, which makes it almost impossible to pose. When I use the posing rotation, bones act normally and they seem correctly parented, but for some reason translating, say, the hip bone, doesn't bring the whole torso where I want but only that bone.
Hi Abel, This issue might happen if Compensate Bones mode has been enabled by an accident. You can check the toolbar at the bottom of the screen -> Compensate. Please make sure that both icons are unchecked there. Hope it helps!
It is a good question, actually! :) Well, Spine is designed and optimized for animating game characters, and not for video-making. I guess you could put some effort to use it for making animated series, but I believe using a different software for your series will be just a lot easier. You need an animation software optimized for video.
The keyframe for the mesh deformation is created only if you change the mesh. You can't really capture the initial state of the mesh, you need to change it, a tiny bit at least. Try slightly changing the position of a vertex with the Translate tool - and you'll see the keyframe appearing in the dopesheet.

How much does it cost to setup rig and animate a character. Sprites are ready.
sorry sis, I want to ask, how do you download spine 2d, sis? I am still confused. thank you
Thank you for your video.
How can I make another animation using the same file? Or I need to create new project to animate another animation?
Sure, you can make another animation with the same rig. To add a new animation, simply go to the Tree View -> click on the Animation section -> Then press New -> Animation.
@@ThinkCitric Thank you so much.
Hi Think!. So, have you a course about 2D game VFX using : Spine, Adobe After Effect?
hey can you make a video about attack animation??
That's a great idea, I'll think what I can do. :)
@@ThinkCitric Thanks :))
This is going very fast, not possible to follow it but I appriciate the tutorial

When i select on the verticies to animate, i dont see the Key frame icon. why?
