  • Thanks for being here! Today we get our Home Depot Tuff Shed installed. It was an exciting process. It took just about 5hours for two awesome guys to complete. Getting our shed this year was a crucial step in moving forward with our 2019 declutter goals. I would love for this shed to just be my SHE shed, but not at this time. Who knows, maybe in the future, it will get repurposed as that.
    We signed up for our shed install at our local Home Depot store. The other option was to call 1-800-HOMEDEPOT. We took advantage of THDs Interest FREE financing options. It was very simple to have done. I just love The Home Depot! On install day, the weather started off really badly, but our installers never tried to cancel. They waited until it got better. Many thanks to our Tuff Shed installers, they were absolutely great.
    Again, thank you so much for being here and for watching! Much love!

    First row of shingles at bottom supposed to be upside down for tar thats already on the shingle to make a seal. Other tuff sheds they not even caulking around the window seals or boards that trim out the window, critical mistake to letting water run in behind and rotting the building. This particular building was assembled with out enough foundation support.

      Thanks for sharing your concerns. I left all of that to the pros who installed it. I trusted them to do what they do...so far so good! I'm also sure there could be another better way to install. Much love 💕

    Thank you for sharing! I really want to get one of these for a single mother who lost her house in a fire 2 months ago. Ever since then, she's been sleeping in a tent on her property! She has mentioned she wouldn't building a small room in the meantime. I saw a shed at home depot that could be perfect for her. It had a sign that said it's 12x16 but from what I saw, it seemed a bit bigger than that. I'll see what I can get for her because it is strange that nobody has helped here this whole time. Thanks again! Cheers

    Nice vid. Did you go with the galvanized base from HD? I noticed that you have a slight incline on one side. Did you raise that side with concrete blocks? How are things holding uo

      Hi there, great questions and thanks for watching. Yes, we do have an incline and they leveled with the concrete blocks. If I’m not mistaken the galvanized base is standard for them at the time anyway, it’s been several years since then and it’s still as sturdy as can be. Very pleased with our install. Again, thanks for tuning in. Much love 🫶🏾

    Hey I’m an installer myself just to let you viewers know it is not his job to have the gravel base and are ready to go, the home owner is required to have that ready for us installers to install on spot with all the done, we should only have to level is up to 4” if needed. Over that it is extra charge

      Yes thank you for letting this be known. You’re right! The installers will always discuss prior to pricing and installing. Much love 🙏🏾🫶🏾

    Can you give a ballpark figure of how much this cost in total?

    • @mclynnbanks
      @mclynnbanks  Рік тому

      I wish I could. The HD actually have booklets with the pricing for the different sizes in your area. The prices have absolutely fluctuated since I got mine installed. You can more than likely find it on the Tuff Shed website too and use their design feature to design yours and see pricing as you design. Thanks for tuning in. Much love!

    How much does it cost for installation

    • @mclynnbanks
      @mclynnbanks  2 роки тому

      Great question! It will vary and depends on your area (location). Prices have also changed since getting this one installed. So you would have to ask at your local depot. The pricing will include the materials and the labor. Thanks for watching. Much love!
