When Barbara changes into Batgirl and gets on her Batcycle Barbara s apartment is on an upper floor of her apartment. But when she leaves on the Batcycle, she s at street level. Does she have a secret Bat ramp?
0:49 So, I'm confused, why does the mirror spin around if it just ends up on the same side of the revolving wall where it was in the first place? 1:08 And why does the wall need to spin if there's a door to access what's on the other side? Honestly, I'm surprised there's not a huge sign saying "access to Batcycle via retractable iris door".
You can see by this 3rd season that the budget has been cut right to the "bone". Look at the background city scene at 0:19-looks like cardboard cutouts LOL The story goes that ABC/Greenwood Productions approached Adam West about another season but it would only have only included Batman/Batgirl/Commissioner Gordon and Alfred (Robin/Chief O'Hara would have been taken from the show) Adam West refused so the show was canceled. Shortly after the cancellation, NBC approached Greenwood Productions about taking over the series but the Batcave set had been demolished already and they didn't want to rebuild it so they passed on it
Shortly after the cancellation, NBC approached Greenwood Productions about taking over the series but the Batcave set had been demolished already and they didn't want to rebuild it so they passed on it - The exact same thing happened 10 years later with Battlestar Galactica. ABC cancelled it, NBC wanted it, but the sets (especially the Bridge) had been demolished.
Yvonne Craig (Batgirl) did all her own stuntwork/fights, unlike Adam West and Burt Ward. She was a trained dancer and very athletic so she felt she should.
Yvonne Craig joined the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo as its youngest corps de ballet member. This training was helpful when she performed stunts while playing Batgirl. The Huffington Post called her "a pioneer of female superheroes" for television.
Burt Ward has said in an interview that he had to do all of his own stunts because they would not pay for a stunt double for him, and he was hospitalized more than once due to injuries he incurred on the set.
On a librarian's salary! Reminds me of the so-called "Crack Cocaine King of DC" back in the early '90s -- a violent young hood named Rayful Edmond who was reported to control the cocaine trade in a territory amount to at least 40 city blocks. After a police stakeout finally caught him red-handed, an enterprising local reporter visited his grandmother in the house he'd purchased for her in the NE part of the city. "Mrs. Edmond", he began, "Your grandson was apprehended today on a street corner downtown, and found to be in possession of a handgun plus $18,000 in cash. When he was booked, he listed his occupation as 'Car Wash Worker'. If he works all day for wages washing cars, how is it that he had all that money on him?" "Oh, that's easy", replied the old lady, "My Rayful is good boy. My Rayful -- HE'S A SAVER!"
Maybe, maybe not, but it was/is nice to get to see a woman of her caliber wearing a tight suit, and heeled boots, vs always having to see grown men in tights. 😄 Robin should have told Batman " Uh I am not wearing that. Find something better ! "
While it was during the third season when Batman jumped the shark, it surely wasn't during this episode. It's a pretty entertaining, fast-paced story and possibly the best episode of the season along with The Wail of the Siren.
I realize this is two years old, but I'm also old and time is slipping away. This show jumped the shark the minute the police took away Batman's keys because they thought he was drunk, and that's why it was always fun to watch.
Wait... who built that revolving wall, freight elevator, and brick wall drawbridge in her apartment building? She couldn't have done it and wouldn't someone have noticed or the builders questioned her? And how did she pay for it?
No, that's just an alias he used. In the show, we never found out Penguin's real name; even the authorities just called him 'Penguin' - same with most of the villains.
And other wall in bedroom accidentally flips around and Has leather outfit and special Pegging toys and other goodies When girlfriend and robbin stop By ...... Lmao
I loved when batgirl was on the show
Definitely added to the excitement level.
I did too
You're not the ONLY one! ❤
Me three. 😀
Stops to talk to the bird "Not now Charlie I'm in a hurry.
"Here comes the bride all bagged and tied" Priceless.
LOL BatMan had Robin - and BatGirl had Charlie. 😉

The narrator says that he cycle is in a freight elevator.
She added something special to the show shame they cancelled after her first year

I agree, Burt did most if not all his own stunts. No money in the budget for a stuntman.
@@timf2279 all three had stunt duo. Batman, Robin and Batgirl
@@ogirl8345 stunt duo?
Holy Mackerel. Miss Barbara Gordon is Batgirl. 😱😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👩🏻🦰🦸🏻♀️🦇
GOTHAM CITY HAS A NEW CRIME FIGHTER, THE DOMINO DARE DOLL BATGIRL!!!! LOL
Batgirl is a beautiful girl 👧🏿
When female superheroes could be badasses but also be feminine at the same time.
The bat cycle makes the same sound as the bat mobile.
The lace on the batgirl cycle is classic 😅
Some of these same roads were used in the green hornet
And who built all that stuff without anybody noticing it
Looks like an apartment complex. Nice of the building contractors to put in that fake wall and motorcycle alley and exit for that tenant.
😂😂😂😂😂
Where did Barbara Gordon get the money and equipment from?
Police Commissioners in large cities come from old money. Lots of cheddar for daddy's obedient favorite. 💰

Don't ask, I don't want to know.
so, whoever built the rotating wall recycled the brick and despite quicker access from the door in the armoire on the side?
Wait.... batgirl was that crazy Orion from Startrek?
Amazing isn't it?
She was also in two of Elvis Presley's movies.
Did the bat girl cycle have a jet engine?

It’s PEN E.Quinn he used that name when he bought the nuclear submarine during the movie lol
