  • Day in the life of a plumber
    In todays video I go back to a job where I fitted the oil boiler to commission the appliance. I connect the oil line and flue, pair the watchman, bleed the oil line and set up the boiler
    As always, thanks so much for watching, all the support is so greatly appreciated

    I use a pipe slice on 10mm Copper then ream out with a pozi screwdriver to allow for inserts. PTFE over the olive, then Heldite works for me too.

    Nice one, Tom. Worcester need to design a clip to hold the exp vessel in place when it’s swung back, it’s irritating when it keeps trying to swing back and get in the way.

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  3 місяці тому

      It is annoying, at least it's easy to get to though and not at the back, thanks for watching as always mate 👍

      There’s a little magnet on the underside of the board and it can stick to the bracket on the vessel to the case

    Can I ask when bleeding oil at the pump do you run the boiler and allow oil to steadily flow out to help remove air 👍

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  2 місяці тому

      you do have to be careful doing it like that but sometimes it is needed, never take the bleed point out all the way, the pump creates 10 bar plus pressure so when it hits oil you can never stop it, thanks for watching Andy

    Where does the grey flesh go and don't these boilers have fire valves a more?

    • @PlumbLikeTom

      I didn't show the fitting of the fire valve on this video but I filmed it on the first part, I will post a link in the description

    Does the boiler have to be on a non con unstable base ?

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  3 місяці тому

      Not on these, the bases don't get hot
