I love the Dumyat descent, done it a number of times and there is so many line choices it’s almost different each time you head down. Then a quick pedal over to Mine Woods makes for a great day out. Keep on rolling Goose
Cheers mate, yeah, so many lines, I can understand it would seem different every time. I really enjoyed Mine Woods too, great trails around Stirling area. Stunning views too. 😃👌🤙🤙🤙
Awesome mate, really enjoyed the day ooot, was great fun and had a blast 👍...my Trailforks map reading skills need improving, all the wrong turns in the woods are my fault 🤣
I really enjoyed the day too mate. Don't worry Ricardo, if I'd been leading the way we would probably have ended up on the wrong hill to begin with! I'm a master at getting lost. 🤣🤣🤣
Another great vid Donald and good reminder of a place I should probably visit since it's so close by. Those technical sections look way worse in real life. Thanks for filming, Andy
Thanks Andy, it's a beautiful place and was great fun to ride. Definitely worth doing mate. I really enjoyed Uni Woods too, amazing views from the cliffs on the Witches Craig trail. 👌😀🤙🤙🤙
Yo man, great video. Dumyat is definitely worth a 2nd visit. It gets better with time, it's great stringing the summit to bottom of witches into 1 big run. You did well, every time I go up that rocky section gets into my head. Having never actually fell on it! The best line is far over to the left, it's a bit of a weird way to get it done, but there is a wee chute through the grass. You can see it in some of your video. Also on your section through the witches, I embarrassingly (as a local) have never taken the route down to the left. I have heard a lot of horror stories 😂. I'm sure its totally doable though! There is also another more mtb based line between that and the route you took in the video. Awesome work again though dude! I'll need to look out for the mine woods video now!
Cheers Paul, I'll definitely be back. It was great fun. I especially liked the Witches Craig part. I'll have to try that left hand line on the rocky section next time. CookieCam mtb said that was the best way too. Great to get locals expertise, cheers mate. 😁🤙🤙🤙
Well done mate, you're definitely improving. Dumyat isn't the easiest of descents, especially in the wet. The best line for the rocky part that you didn't do, is as far over to the left as possible. And the part you missed is called Jo's drop. It's pretty gnarly and mega dodgy in the wet. I've got a video up from a few years ago, with the drop in it, if you want a look buddy.
@muddymongoosemtb9873 no, it's not easy either buddy, but probably the best option. Although, I do have to admit, I'm gona have a look next time and try to find a quicker line.
I hope you weren't injured mate, it is very chunky there. The angle and varying height of the rocks makes it tricky enough without it being slippery and wet. Dumyat is a great place to ride though, I really enjoyed it.😀🤙🤙🤙
@muddymongoosemtb9873 I live in Stirling so I get to do the run 2/3 times a week lucky The crash I completed it a week earlier for the first time so I was full of confidence right in smoked out last rock left hand side at the bottom of front wheel right over bars but I was a clean departure from the bike all was good crashed on the Monday back out on dumyat for the Wednesday
@Barry43 Great! Glad to hear you ejected safely. I wouldn't fancy landing on those rocks. You're lucky living through there, lots of great trails in your area.👌🤙🤙🤙😀
Hi mate, there will be more videos coming, just struggling to find time to edit and get out on the bike much at the moment. Hopefully have one out very soon. 🤙🤙🤙

Nice video. Not ridden Dumyat but it’s on the list!
Definitely worth doing Ross, even if just for the views at the top. So much line choice. 😀🤙🤙🤙

Cheers Gary, yeah, I really enjoyed Dumyat and the trails we did in Uni Woods. Fantastic views from the top. Thanks mate.😀🤙🤙🤙

@@muddymongoosemtb9873 the witches is one of my all time favourite trails, theres a bit of everything in it!

Cheers Cookie, I'll check it out. Always good to get tips from a local. We looked at the left line too, it didn't look easy either. 😀🤙🤙🤙

some nice views up there! I NEVER volunteer to be guinea pig LOL. that roll looked pretty steep
I don't usually volunteer either mate...I must have been feeling brave! 🤣🤣🤣
You should ride the Trotsky trail at the hermitage
😢
I've not heard of that trail. Is it steep?
It’s not too bad I think it’s a black trail
Have a good day muddy! 😊
Just as well you missed that rocky section it's slippery as I fell down it last week twice
