Only issue i have with the Me888 Is they take a bit to get heat in them, and they take a lot of work to keep heat in them. Once they get heat they are amazing, but that time frame where they dont, they struggle to hold traction in anything beyond good weather with any sorta pushing the tires.
If you just putz around they are amazing
I have Me888 on my Warrior 1700 and i ran M7rr on my gsxr 1k.

Excellent detailed and very concise review of the Metzler 888’s! I don’t think they would work on my Honda CMX1100 DCT Rebel however. The Dunlop’s I have on my bike now are still rather new, but when the time eventually comes to swap them out, I am doing research on the best option. I ride primarily for 3 seasons and occasionally some winter rides, but my current tires aren’t that great in cold weather. I’m somewhat confident, but I would definitely prefer more assurance about my tires. What would be your best recommendation TG? I’m running 130/70/18 Front and 180/65/16 Rear. 👍

@@RollWithSoul317 tire sizes for your bike seem to be boiling down to tire availability with more frequency these days. I think you could work with a Michelin commander 2 on the back and the Michelin commander 3 on the front if you would like a 2 CT tire. That was the set up I had to roll with on my triumph Thunderbird 1600. Check with your tire guy and see what he can do in finding you a set of 2 CT tires. Tire size availability is becoming seriously problematic and I’ve had to get real creative over the years. I hope this helps. thank you for watching.

@@tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480 Oh, it helped tremendously! I will definitely look into the Michelin setup you suggested with my tire guy and check for the size and availability! Thanks a million! 👍

Thank you for your review. I have a 2020 vmax and only have 3 choices for the rear 200/50/18. The ME888, the Bridgestone stock Battlax, and the shinkos. I ride year round like you and I need good grip in the cold and wet. Would you recommend these over the stock bridgestone and the shinkos? Thank you.

Shinko 777s are awesome. I’ve had four sets of them. They’re very sticky, but they do wear down quick. My Triumph Thunderbird had the ME 880s. And I also had the ME 888s on my Stryker and my Victory Hammer I like the triple eights as well. The best all-around performance I ever had was from the Michelin Road 6 GT Tires on my ZX 14, and the Michelin Commander twos and threes are fantastic in all weather. I would pick any of these over the Bridgestones.

Thank you very much. I would love to get the Michelin road 6 but they don’t make them in my size. So, would you do the metzler me888 then as the best option over the Bridgestone and shinko?

@@GreggyGTV if you cannot find commander twos or threes then yes. Even if you have to mix and match a set of commanders with a two on the front and a three on the back, that works out very well too.

Thank you. For the rear, I only have those three options, so I’m concerned about mixing different brands for front and rear.
