Roger Bannister Interview on the Four-Minute Mile and the Future of Athletics (1964)

On 6 May 1964, ITN's Reggie Bosanquet interviewed Roger Bannister on the 10th anniversary of his becoming the first athlete to run a mile in under four minutes. As well as recounting the period of preparation leading up to his record-breaking run, Bannister also discussed his belief in the importance of athletes having jobs outside of their sport, and the future of athletics as he saw it.
