Dear Emma, Hello! I just feel like sharing this because I am over the top from happiness. I did my Ielts exam on the 14th of November and I just got the results : Speaking 8 Reading 8.5 Writing 6.5 Listening 6.5 My overall band score is 7.5. I can now apply to Finland and pursue a Masters degree there. I would like to thank you so much for all the efforts you put and specially since I watched all of your videos that gave me a broader image on a lot of topics for the ielts exam. All my respect from Beirut, Lebanon.
+Antoine Haddad congratulations, i want to purseu my master degree in foreign country ,too. your score is very well , which books can you recommend me about ielts ?
+Gulay Memmedova hi I didnt study from any textbook just try talking to native English speakers and watch lots of videos for Emma and Liz. They give u great insights about the ielts its gr8
Guys, I'm an Ielts band 9 on reading and tip number 5 helped me A LOT. And the "not given" thing can be a pain in the ass. Pay attention to this as well Number 8 may seem futile but actually is pretty useful.
Hello Emma, Just want to share my experience and would like to say that watching your videos proved to be extremely helpful for my General IELTS exam . I have got an overall score of "7.5" at first attempt (Listening - 6.0, Reading - 7.0, Writing - 7.5 and Speaking 8.5) . I could have done better but was not well in the morning and missed some listening questions. However, I would like to thanks for your great tips which are very helpful!!!
you are the best i swear, i saw many videos but no one gave me the information the i need more than you, i had my speaking exam today and i saw your tips for speaking melts exam and it helped me a lot and i did so well, thank god, god bless you
Hi Emma, I appeared for my IELTS on 15th December and I'm happy with my results. I made the right choice by not opting for any coaching classes and chose to watch your videos instead. So, thanks for uploading these helpful videos by which it became easy for me to study . My IELTS Score is R - 6, L - 8, W - 7, S - 6.5 and overall band is 7. Now I can pursue my post graduate studies in Canada
the ielts examination is doggy, and likely the way they mark the reading is ridiculous, for original english speakers its madness, the general training reading getting 29/40 questions dosnt take you upto 6 either, with all the short timing, the idea of the test is if you understand english,..the organization is now making money through it,thus creating rigors, even an average brit cant make the examination, who is supposed to be original english speaker,..its all bullshit, they have commercialized the whole thing making it a money making venture as usual with the brits, forgeting the true purpose of examination
now all about money if you can understand Emma what she talking about it's mean you are English speaker and that what they are looking for immigration to know but nowdays just want to take our money for just drama . if some one can't pass the exam take money and finish this Games
Hi emma . I am from india and my native language is punjabi . Thanks . Learning from your videos . I got 7.5 overall in ielts and L:7, R:8.5, W:7, S:7. U gave us so much good tips . I manage to get good scores . Regards . Navjiwan
Hi,Emma I just wanted to thankyou for your tips for IELTS.I appeared for the test on 13.12.2014 and just received my Results,I got an Overall Band 7 (Listening - 6.5,Reading 6.5,Writing 7 and Speaking 7.5).Thanks again,God Bless
1. Learn synonyms 2. Pay close attention to negative words 3. Pay attention to frequency words 4. Stick with first answer 5. Questions often follow the passage order
Hi ......I cant read the whole passage and answer questions in 20 minutes. I tired even though i take 30 minutes to complete one passage sometimes even more time. I did practice a lot but no change. Please tell me what to do.
hello emma i think that it is very diffficult but with you it is vry easy i learn so many tips of litening reading e't'c i am very happy when i see ur videos the all vidoes have a pattern to learn easly
11. Well, personally speaking, I believe that 11th tip will be that DON'T TRY to do all the questions quickly that you soon become a reckless reader and pass through the core meaning of the text. Calm down and just take a deep breath prior to each Reading Passage.
I have a wonder As we know that each paragraph is very long, and it’s no need for us to read all of them. Each of it has different kind of question. For example, 1-5 filling words, 6-13 true/false/not given. Firstly, I also read the fact, find the key words, and scan in the paragraph to find the answer in the order for the question 1-5 ( for example the answer are paragraph B-D) I mean, I don’t read the thoroughly. However, when I do the question 6-13 I don’t find where is the question because I don’t read every word in the passage. Sometimes, I find I get the answer at the paragraph A, not the paragraph E-H. I want to ask you how to find the answers when I transfer this kind of question to another ones ??? I should use the scan or skim skill again, sometimes I can’t find it. thank you so much.
Hello Emma thank you for the video its a lot useful. But I suggest that you should give more examples such as the tip no.1 synonyms intelligent and smart what about other words? You were holding the marker all the time but not write anything on. Keep on teaching us we support you.
Thank you so much Emma.....I like your vivid way . I can see behind the lines a very smart qualified professional, trainer, and a lovely educator. Keep up may Allah guard you.
Thank you so much Emma, yet another masterpiece for the reading task. I want to request you to please make some new videos on the writing tasks as well. I badly needed your lectures for improving the writing score. Best regards
Guys, what's the Yes, no "non given" I think I couldn't get what she means by that, it's disappointing how she's a good teacher but she doesn't communicate with viewers when they ask questions on here x)
My darling Emma. I ask you a help relating to reading skills and also its paragraph selection. I really suffer from this. Please help me. I am looking forward to your answer

Hello Emma.your tips helped me alot in practice.can we use apostrophe and superscripts/subscripts in the answers?are those considered as another word/number?
To say the truth, the logic of IELTS reading passages is often dubious and even sometimes totally nonsense!
Ich bin Shin I fully agree with, there is no logic in most of the reading passages!!!
how???
Das ist nicht mein Name yes Ur right I felt the same at times.
Does your name translate in English to "This is not my name" ? lol
That's the trick you are not supposed to read that passage
