Very important tip coming later. first i would like to thank you for your videos, it was really helpful. secondly, i got a total band score of 8. reading: 8.5 listening: 8 writing: 7.5 speaking: 8 some tips from my experience: reading: if you are a fast reading and you can finish reading the given part in under 10 mins, then i would advise reading it in full first (it would make it so much easier to go back and search for information). listening: there is a trick that they usually do, that is when someone spells a certain name or word in the audio and then the other person corrects them, i think write down both words and then see if they got corrected (funny thing happened with me, the guy spelled out a name and i was like "yeah right im not falling for that" then they girl told him it was correct, and i hadnt written anything down actually)
( please I am taking the exam next month ) Can I open for the last section in listening when they are giving me the example in the first section or they might prohibit me from doing so ? and do they let me open the question sheets from the early first moment of the listen time ?
These videos are very helpful. All the 4 modules have been explained very neatly by her. My band score was 8.0 wherein Listening: 9.0, Reading: 8.5, Speaking: 7.0, Writing: 7.0 As I said earlier, all the modules have been explained thoroughly. The writing tasks I found quite helpful along with speaking tips as well. As far as reading and listening are concerned, I would say it's all about practice. It all depends on how many reading and listening sections you solve while practicing. I remember I was solving 1 reading and 1 listening section everyday until the day of exam. This practice will help you get acquainted with the accent (regarding listening) and the flow of the passage (for reading). The videos were really helpful. I have recommended this channel to all those who asked me how I prepared for IELTS.
manideepika sankineni Practice the reading and listening sections as much as you can. I was practicing one module of each daily. Practice is the key for these sections. Writing and speaking is totally in your hand. By that, I mean to say it all depends on how you use your grammar and how fluent you are. But for reading, even if it seems easy at first sight, you do need to think a bit before answering. So practice is the key for reading and writing. Practice as many passages and listening modules as you can. I remember I had practiced more than 20 of both reading and writing. Best of luck for your exam!
Akshay Panchwagh, could you please advice some materials, books or resources for practicing? Do you think it is necessary to read the whole reading passage first and then to answer questions, or the time will not be enough? Thank you! :)
Need these scores, especially in Listening and Reading. Is there a trick to it that I am not getting? I'm a native speaker and find it shameful to get a band score of 7.0 or 7.5 in each section. Please help!
hi, I'm from Bangladesh. My IELTS exam is on next month. Will you please help me by sharing tips and strategies for all 4 sections of IELTS? I would be grateful to you. Thanks.
I got perfect 9 on my listening test in July last year! Going to take IELTS exam again tomorrow, this time for general ielts. Praying to get perfect 9 once again😁
I have got a total band score of 7.5 today. Listening : 6.0, Reading : 7.0, writing : 7.5 and speaking 8.5. I would like to thank you for your great videos and wonderful tips which are extremely helpful! I have studied English throughout my schooling and university, however getting a good score in IELTS is all about understanding the exam technique which can be done only through the practice and comprehension. If you are a native English speaker or already good at English, is definitely going to be helpful but do not be overconfident that it will get you a higher band unless you practice ;-)
Imran Khan. can u share your experience about how you intensively practice it and how many weeks you spent ? DId u have any partners who can speak in English?
mgl joshua I can't prepare much. For speaking I don't have any issues as English is my second language. However you need to really understand the trick to crack this exam. Thank you very much, Emma! Yr lessons are so easy to listen , yr accent is so easy to catch and understand - i am glad i found you as my weak modules are Listening (5.5-6) and Reading (5.5-6). Will see all yr lessons! Thanks a lot for them! You are so nice lady!)
Hello Madam! First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing such useful information about the IELTS. Please let me know one thing about the listening section, whether we should listen first and then write an answer or we would be required to do it simultaneously?
This video is so helpful...the tips can be easily followed . You must have confidence in yourself and practice till u get it right. You must follow instructions properly to avoid mistakes
IELTS speaking part 2 Describe a friend who has played an important part in your life. You should say: - How you met this person - How long you have known them - The kind of thing you do or did with them And explain why they have been important in your life
Sometime when i try to write the answer for one question, i feel i lost some answers during the conversation :( why they can't repeat it for one time :(

Btw in this video i got her speaking but i wanna do it faster on my mobile how can i do that?! Thankkk u.!!
thanks so much for those tips , but those who are making this ielts test are stupid and dumbs , this is a listening test why do I need to write , so if u don't know how to write then u will have bad mark in the listening test even if u understand very good, that's bullshit , they need to mark our listening not our writing skills .

secondly, i got a total band score of 8.
reading: 8.5
listening: 8

some tips from my experience:
reading: if you are a fast reading and you can finish reading the given part in under 10 mins, then i would advise reading it in full first (it would make it so much easier to go back and search for information).
listening: there is a trick that they usually do, that is when someone spells a certain name or word in the audio and then the other person corrects them, i think write down both words and then see if they got corrected (funny thing happened with me, the guy spelled out a name and i was like "yeah right im not falling for that" then they girl told him it was correct, and i hadnt written anything down actually)

Hello Madam!
First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing such useful information about the IELTS. Please let me know one thing about the listening section, whether we should listen first and then write an answer or we would be required to do it simultaneously?

IELTS speaking part 2
Describe a friend who has played an important part in your life.
You should say:
- How you met this person
- How long you have known them
- The kind of thing you do or did with them
And explain why they have been important in your life
Sometime when i try to write the answer for one question, i feel i lost some answers during the conversation :(
why they can't repeat it for one time :(

I am a dyslexic who can not spell or write well. Therefore I conclude that I am screwed.
+channa naragala
Have you ever take this exam? My borther is a dyslexic too. Can you give us some tips?
+channa naragala I think that in some testing centres they offer help for people with disabilities or some problems. Ask your center for help? I'm sure they'd put that in consideration
and yet your comment is spelled correctly and very clearly written...

Dear Emma, these tips are very good for me preparing the IELTS test. Thank you so much for your tips. I worry about listen mode so much.
As far as I know IELTS doesn’t penalty you for using an American English !
Emma catched a clod at this one.get well soon.
I mocked IELTS test, ask me how!
how??
Never giving up on learning, motivation, reading, listening, skype conversations, reading news: NYT, Guardian, Telegraph, others. And especially watching these videos! If you have basic knowledge of English, seize upon all the opportunities to use English and keep improving, make annotations. Motivate yourself is the only key!
sure!

thanks so much for those tips , but those who are making this ielts test are stupid and dumbs , this is a listening test why do I need to write , so if u don't know how to write then u will have bad mark in the listening test even if u understand very good, that's bullshit , they need to mark our listening not our writing skills .
