Bill Cialini did a very good job, 8 out of 10. I loved all the great little details. Been doing model railroading for 44 years, this layout would be in my top 10, and in the top 5 of private layouts.
Finally, someone that has chosen a certain time period and has stuck with it! Everything from locomotives to rolling stock to vehicles, businesses and buildings. Nothing drives me crazier than steam locos pulling intermodals, or SD70ACe's pulling 40' livestock cars. Bravo.....well done!
Thanks for the kind words. I tried hard to stick to the theme. I’ve sold off all my older rolling stock to be era correct. My favorite is, a ‘shiny wheeled’ being pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine! 😂 Happy scale model railroading!
Very observant! Actually, there are three N scale structures located above the street rod shop. A cabin with porta-potty and a forest service observation tower. Nice catch!👍
I really enjoy people that create their own Railroad companies! Q: Why are the reporting marks sometimes DN and sometimes DNLX? I always thought only leasing companies do use an X on the ending. Other than that: Nice layout with lots of details! Also it's somehow refreshing to see a project which is neither a switching layout (like mine 😅) nor a huge double-deck empire, but a "normal sized" layout.
Thanks for the comments. Actually you have hit the nail on the head! DNLX is a subsidiary of the Defiance and Northern. Defiance and Northern Locomotive Leasing (DNLX) purchases older units, refurbishes them mechanically and makes them available to other railroads for economical dependable power. 👍

Excelente maquete, parabéns pelo canal !
Yes, Need4life is ‘top shelf’. 👍
Well done, sir. Especially like the use of the mirror in the city scene. Also, did I see at least one N scale house to achieve forced perspective?

Where is this layout located? Excellent layout!
Northeastern United States
Very nice layout what did you use for the defect detector
Thanks. Boulder Creek Engineering is responsible for the defect detector. 👍
A bit tacky to treat the KFC sign
