- Within the last few minutes the first official result has been released declaring President Putin has been re-elected, with 87.8 percent of the votes.
Earlier today the third and final day of voting saw long queues at voting stations in Russia, and at Russian embassies across Europe.
In a bid to get round the repression of any protests, anti-Putin campaigners, including Yulia Navalnaya - the widow of the opposition leader Alexei Navalny - had called for people to come to polling stations at 12 noon to show their discontent with Putin's rule.

They deride and frown upon ideas of polygamous marriages as practiced by some societies in Africa and in the middle east but want everyone to accept their LGBTQ agenda and gay marriages?
