Hey Kate! I first fell in love with painting as a child, I had a hard time sleeping at night, my brain was very creative as a child, so my parents got me this under the bed slide out mini art desk thing and that is what drove my love for art. I remember being so young loving to pull out my art bin with my Crayola water colors painting so late at night when I couldn't sleep. Later in high-school I began taking art classes which elevated my love for art, as I also love learning about art too! Now I am 24, and have now spent this year 2023 with the goal of painting everyday, I want to improve as much as I can! I cant wait to see where my creative journey flows to next.
I fell in love with painting through my love of sewing. I’ve wanted to be a fashion designer for years, but over the past year or so I’ve found my mental and physical health getting worse. I stated focusing on drawing clothes, eventually I moved to painting. I don’t even paint clothes now, really. It’s the only thing I can enjoy no matter what. If I have a seizure or if I can’t fall asleep or if I just need a break in the day, painting and watching people paint is just so amazing.
Thanks for making this video!!! I love your art style and I’m hoping that eventually I’ll be able to make paintings like yours. I’ve never actually made a full gouache painting but I would really like to make one some time soon. I have the Himi gouache but I don’t have a sketchbook for it 😂. I’m more of a colored pencil kinda person but I’m trying to branch out more. If you have any sketchbook recommendations for gouache please let me know ❤
Thank you for the review!! I've only dabbled in gouache a little bit but you've inspired me to try it out again. I would love to try some of those gouache paints! I fell in love with painting when I was young and was always watching my older sister of ten years create beautiful paintings with her acrylics. Now that we're 27 and 37 years old, we're still both creating art and motivating each other to keep going. So she definitely helped me fall in love with painting! ❤️
Loved the video. Thank you for sharing your tips and thoughts on the different brands. I'm a self-taught watercolor student but have started to dabble with the guache, and I'M LOVING IT!!! I started off with the Arteza set and just bought the Windsor and Newton set at Michael's to play with! I look forward to catching more of your guache tutorials. ❤
Thanks for your review! I fell in love with painting while growing up and watching my older sister do all different mediums of art! I originally started out with watercolor and then a couple years ago invested in a himi gouache set - I agree that I love it but am still practicing on how to get the best consistency so I’m excited to try other brands that may be a bit more beginner friendly :)
I've always enjoyed painting since elementary school. My great-grandmother painted shower curtains and artwork, so I think it runs in my blood. I've never used gouache, but I'd love to try❤
Wow, what a fun comparison video - they all looked great to me! I enjoyed painting all through growing up and took every h.s. art class possible. Am having trouble with arthritic hands and my watercolors, so have been watching videos and want to try gouache so bad. You are very generous to have this giveaway. Have a great day!
This was so informative! I use holbein acryla gouache because the smell of the jelly gouache set I got gagged me. (Think I got an old indigo color that went bad). 😢 I got into painting when my dog passed a few yrs ago. I needed to turn my heartbreak into happiness and turned to acrylic for the first time. I painting rocks in bright colorful designs and took them to leave in all the places Gracie and I went together leaving them for others to find and spread joy to. 😊 Highly recommend this activity. I since have been experimenting with gouache and watercolor, oil pastels and colored pencils. I am going to try out the turner brand next I think, but would love a chance to win the giveaway too! All the best. Thanks for the inspiration and sharing your beautiful art with us!❤
Thanks for review. I started watercolor 2 years ago with an online course. So relaxing. Added some Himi gouache in last year. Would like to try other brands.
I really appreciated this review. I’ve been thinking of getting into gouache but confused by the different brands. Never heard of Senex. I just wonder if one could only afford one brand, which one to get? Several seemed very similar in their ratings. Painting has been a stress reliever and heart mending experience with my brother passing this week.
