Great video and you pretty much nailed it on the head with info 👏
Thanks I am thinking about moving to Oklahoma but I have been seeing some bad things, but you have gave me encouragement to keep going
If you need some information don't hesitate to call
I feel like as soon as this video drops and I make arrangements to move, it will already be hella overpriced but maybe it’s just my luck 🍀
I have seen Realtor oversell locations and UA-camrs focus of the bad, I lived in the OKC area 45 of my 55+ years (some teen and young adult years in California) and I found your assessment of the area right on target. At times when I think I'm tired of OKC, I look around and because of cost of living or weather, or politics. i don't see anyplace that fit me better. There are a lot of places I like to visit or even spend extended time in, but OKC is home.
Thanks, I really appreciate the compliment.
Welcome to Oklahoma Brother!
Terrific sports scene here: OKC Thunder, University of Oklahoma, OU Women’s softball is in the running for Natl Champion more years than not. Triple AAA pro baseball is a farm team of the Dodgers.
One more thing: if you travel a lot, both coasts are relatively close, as are Atlanta and Dallas. Getting to Europe is easier than from a lot of places.
If you’re into fishing, there are tons of lakes and rivers nearby.
Nice video , will surely follow you .
Awesome, thank you!
Hey man. Great video. Maybe we could do a collab.
Been watching your OK videos, thanks. We'll be out there in the near future to look things over... 👍
That's awesome. If you have any questions feel free to call or text.
@@MovingtoOklahoma will do! 👍
Lived in Edmond for 2.5 years.Tornado struck Frontier Town (amusement park) on I35 just south of Edmond in 2002. Lived in Chicago and Houston, OKC has NO traffic issues. Edmond is a great place to live but I did not find OKC to be that friendly. Was told by one person that if I wasn't born there then it was not my home. Bricktown is nice but went to a restaurant that put corn in their crab cakes???? I have a daughter that lives there so I visit 2-3 times a year from Houston. Property taxes are great and there are tons of restaurants.
Thanks for watching the channel and love the honest review.
Corn in the crab cakes? F that!!
hey! love this vid. my wife and I are hoping to move in a couple years from Charleston, SC to OKC. I have to finish my Radiology Tech program first, but we are excited! Two questions: My wife is a yoga teacher, is there a good fitness/wellness community in OKC? Also, we are Jewish and have experienced some Semitism and very much want to avoid that, is OKC a good place for us to start a family?
Thanks for watching. Yoga is super popular in Edmond, Downtown and the Nichols Hills area. Also, there are plenty of Jewish families living their best lives here 😉, but as we know there are a-holes everywhere. No place is perfect, but you'll be fine.
thanks! we would love to use you when the time comes for us to make our move! @@MovingtoOklahoma
@MovingtoOklahoma you look familiar which news station did you report for?

How is the golf scene out there ? Plenary of courses to play at ?
The city of OKC has 7 18 hole courses that are about 62-6500 yards from the tips, and one 9 hole, which is about 3200 yards. I walk so the green fees are $25-30 and I believe a cart is an additional $18. Lincoln is my favorite. Both sides are unique, but the West side is the better side in my opinion .Lots of elevation changes and the course is usually in great shape. I like Trosper as well. Hefner is overrated (but not bad,) and Earlywine is solid. John Conrad in Midwest City is a fun track. Kickingbird in Edmond, just got remolded and their practice facility is 🤯. That place is like a country club, Which Edmond has plenty of including: Rose Creek (Links style). Edmond golf and country club..meh. Oak Tree, which will host the senior PGA in '27 🤯. River Oaks...Meh, the Greens County Club....meh. Gaillardia never played it. There are also some courses in Guthrie (30 miles north of downtown OKC). They're a hit and miss, sometimes they're in good shape and other times 🤮 . As a person that's played all over the country, the city courses are above average and worth the green fee. And the country clubs are a step up but not a huge step.
Moore has had several devastating tornadoes
“Tornadoes haven’t OKC proper in 20 years “
Ummmm …. 10th Street in OKC got taken out THIS YEAR. That’s OKC proper , yo . Lots of tornadoes have hit OKC in the last several years . Lots .
NW 10th was straight line winds I believe.
Dude my bro lives in Edmond and been trying to get me to move out there for years. I know what I’m about to say will sound like a ignorant bot to move somewhere but I biggest thing is the wind I heard it’s windy all the time there I know I know that’s a crazy reason not to move there but….
🤣 As a golfer the wind is the devil. I also have allergies so once in the spring and once in the fall life sucks. With that being said it's usually 8-14 mph four days a week, two days a week it's 15-25, and one day a week there is no wind.
Fair and accurate
Please don't come here we don't want Oklahoma to become over crowded
I will not. Ain't nothing really popping there anyway.
It seems boring do you actually like it?
Just wait; all the unpopular states will become crowded once the prices in major cities/states become too much. Yall good for now though.
....you're merely a resident of the state you live in, not a citizen...it's not your state, nor do you have any say in it.....who's ''we'', anyway?
