Also worth keeping in mind is when you can't help but be in the same position as another teammate, don't only look at the same angle. This minimizes getting flanked.
100% target fixation kills
What I’m learning is that lighter, more maneuverable tanks are much more capable than slow behemoths
I generally think so too!
Not necessarily. It is more of a case of heavier vehicles closing doors/locking them.
100% true, except in the hyper specific situations when the heavily armored tanks positions well and doesn’t give you any shots on their weak points
I play since 2014 or so and already do most lots of things similair. But i have to remember the point you make at 3:00.
Esp. when you see team mates doing something that resembles a forward position i try to join. I am def. not doing that enough.
One big thing i like to do is pushing through the lines with light tanks. Being sneaky with a Puma, M18 ... and destroy the first reinforcment wave from the first battle. Taking out that reinforcment can give us enough time to cap points. Works later in bigger battles too. But it heavily depends on maps+mapknowledge.
edit: i also use smoke rounds if possible to cap points and help mteam mates
Smoke rounds used to cut off line of sight on roads or choke points is super useful! I always get so mad when a M18 and Puma kills me lol
"Provide early warning"
Wish that would help... I was on Seversk-13, got in a bad situation where I could hear an enemy ZSU just roaming on the other side of the building. My M109 would be torn to pieces in a nanosecond if that thing saw me, so I kept telling my friendlies where exactly that enemy was, judging by the sound. He killed 3 tanks before I was finally fed up with the skill issues of the entire team and guess what? I found that ZSU staying still exactly where I was placing my markers... I killed him in the end but it was already too late to do anything else but watch the enemy stomp us left and right.
I mean that'll happen. You did your best to help your team but they clearly didn't have the bandwidth.
Great info, thank you brother. Good to see you.
Underrated information thank you
Some good points here, I'll do my best to implement them in my future matches, I mostly play arcade but I'll see how it goes.
Your content is perfect for explaining things. Could you make a video covering how to flank/stealth to get to your opponent from behind?
My favorite War Thunder UA-camr is on air again)
Thanks for the video!
Ronek, can I ask, if you have the opportunity, time and desire, to make manual English subtitles for the video? As you already know, I am from Russia, and I have problems with the English vocabulary: I like this analytical video format, but sometimes words I don’t know slip through.
Yes, UA-cam has the creation of automatic subtitles with automatic translation, but if the translation works fine, then the creation of subtitles works so-so. This would make viewing for conscientious foreigners much more accessible and comfortable)
If not, then it's okay,
I still like your content :3
I like your videos man, keep it up !
Hi! i recently commented under your video asking for tips on improving my winrate as it was terribly bad both on my old and on my new account (nearing 40% which was absurd to me). I've found the solution and that is playing in a Duo with my brother. His only objective is to capture and hold as much points on the map to win the game and when i play with him my mindset completely changes from "how much kills can i get?", to "What can i do to help my Team win hold all of the points?". We play every game till the very end and there were 2 instances of us single-handedly winning the game by literally being the only 2 players left on our team (while on the other team there were like 4-8 people, altough some of them on planes by that point). This made my Winrate % go up on the new account from ~42% to... 53%! and my brother who ONLY plays with me has a winrate of... 59%!!! So i guess the answer is - Don't play solo. Your tactical awareness goes up tenfold when playing with someone else and doing that makes actually winning and making good tactical decisions the biggest goal of your session.
I am very happy with my results and well if you ever decide to make a video about winrate - finding friends to play alongisde would be the biggest clue in my opinion.
That's awesome! Any level of cooperation will always beat no communication. Happy tanking!
Just found your channel. Former Bradley guy/Cav Scout here too (Ft. Bliss). Good stuff. I wish the Army would incorporate videogames like warthunder into its training. I learned more from this than most simulators and I've spent over one hundred hours in BCOFT training others or being trained.
I was at Bliss too! I don't know how much I would appreciate WT training in reality. War Thunder is too fast paced and I think it wouldn't translate as well as we think.
@@RoneK_Actual you'd have to make it a training exercise like platoon vs platoon or section vs section. But for individual vehicle movement, vehicle identification, and use of micro terrain features for positioning, it would amplify the practice. Not often you get to have a realistic scenario of what a Bradley fighting a t-72 would look like etc.
Good tips. I'll add a few more things I picked up on my end.
- When having two objectives captured, check the ticket count! If it's to the enemy's advantage, that's when defending objectives should be the priority over going for the last objective or driving right to their spawn. So many times, random people don't do this and they wonder why the game suddenly flipped on them.
- On the flip side, if there's one guy (usually in a strong vehicle) defending a cap and there's allies waiting for an opening to go all in, take one for the team and rush in as a distraction. I actually ended up doing this myself in a recent match. I did die but that triggered everyone else to action and take the guy out for the eventual win.
- Note how quickly an objective is captured and which ones are either available or captured by your side. This helps in terms of not just enemy count but also tactics. For example, if B is captured and C has a lot of allies but A is undefended, then position yourself to whittle down the enemy on the most likely travel paths from B to A.
- Try to always have a vehicle with scouting in your lineup. If nothing else, gives you the ability to be an invaluable aid when you're uptiered and your lineup is severely compromised offensively as a result.
the first one is so real. when your team has less people and less tickets, you really cannot afford taking the risk of overextending to get another point or spawncamp and having it blow up in your face.
could you make a video on how to correctly use light vehicles for flanking and scouting? like the fox for example
I'll consider it! Thanks for the comment!
Another great video. The only issue I see with it is that a lot of it hinges on relying on your teammates 😋 Seriously though, as you say, it's generally dumb to try to defend a cap from within, unless you don't have any better choice of position.
I mean all you can do is try to work with your teammates and whether or not it works is up to them. If I want to blame my teammates for poor play, then I better make sure I wasn't poor myself. I'm not trying to be a hypocrite lol
It's comforting to see that even in warthunder the number one rule in world of tanks of not trusting your team at all still applies
Another great vid. Keep this stuff coming my man!
my tactic is to hide in the point and stay there even if there are enemies instide to get as much team points as possible and then when they find you just die or let your team push it and kill them so you get to keep the point
btw attack the D point
Ive played wt for ages and i still wouldnt describe myself as good this game has an infinite skill ceiling good to learn something new 👍
In many battles Im the only person actually defending anything. after they cap they push towards the enemy spawn and 90% of the time they all die or 10% spawncamp the enemy to death.
By positioning further away from the cap u would provide lesser direct influence on the cap area. Which when things happen eg cap being decapped or lose enemy got through your ambush line, you will need more time to react and return to the cap area
Fair point. But the enemy expects me to he at the cap point. So if I'm not, I can get suprise flanks. It's all map and situation dependent.
How would you get out of a flanking, like if two enemies have seen you and are hiding behind cover for you to shoot and the other ti kill you.
I have a habit of pinging any enemy by map marker whenever I cant properly take them down myself, however I quite often see teammates completely ignoring those markers of for example an enemy approaching them from behind that they could easily handle. This causes me to be put into a position where I am to be surrounded, outnumbered etc. Are there any tactics that can mitigate this risk without also negatively impacting team performance? Or at least a way to have as much of a chance as possible at surviving such a hopeless situation where you can no longer just move away?
Bout to update and hop back in this bitch after a year away.
Let's go!
Honestly these principles could easily be applied to infantry combat like in squad or battlefield.
Often times there isn't a huge difference between dismounted and mounted. Just in scale.
Woud You make a video of tips for cas?
Maybe in the future, I still have a lot to learn myself. I dont want to make a video until I really understand something.
Just after this video probably had my best game ever. Coincidence?
How do you ping the map on PS4? I have never figured this out.
I'm not sure...I've never played on PS4, I'm sure you can Google it.
Play ikv 91-105
Why are your tank crews not experted?
I dont have the golden eagles and don't have the time to play enough to get crew levels high.
@@RoneK_Actualexperting only takes SL. You basically need a level 55 crew to expert a top tier tank at most.
Most of my crews aren't there...I don't have a lot of time to play with my family and career.
When I'm writing this, this video is 45 sec old lol.
Crazy
Wow you're my hero
Just wanted to say your name is epic.
Wow epic historycally amazing wowowowo
PAY TO WIN BIAS-YOU GOT IT EASY WORKING FOR W.T.
I dont work for WT lol have you seen my views and sub count? 🤣
this is terrible advice, you're assuming that friendlies look at the minimap.
jokes aside, even after playing this game for over a decade you learn something new
This shit is actual gold, your explanations are also clear and concise. Thanks dude🫡
Of course! Thanks for watching!
