- It's been nearly 8 months since Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya saw their children. The couple, who live in Norway, had been separated from their son and daughter in May last year after Child Services deemed them to be irresponsible parents. Since that day the couple has been running from pillar to post trying to get their children back. Following the Indian Govt's intervention the family now says they hope they will get their babies back. The movie was depicting the same. To me it felt like an exaggeration to make it more filmy. Clearly not.
As an Indian I can never forget this case. It is unacceptable to separate very little kids from parents. That too when there are no strong grounds for abuse. I sadly find other countries are finding it very easy to illtreat Indians in several ways. Hope our government starts fighting for us more.
I agree I'm not indian but we're all one and I think it was so disgusting that they didn't respect the Indian culture every country has their way of doing thing I really believe that the angels followed her and helped her because we will know the law and the government's are very corrupted I have a lot of respect for this lady for fighting for her children he is an inspiration and a very powerful lady may her and children be blessed always and for any other people that are suffering with trauma

North Korea is an Asian country. They have similar parenting style like Indian. This type of weird parent child dynamic and laws are present only in developed western countries.
That is so not true. I live in Norway from 8 years; and have 3 children (4 years, 2 years and 5 months). My doctor actually advised to have my 2 years sleep in our bedroom when he got jealous due to new brother. There is no such rule. We should also hear from Norwegian authorities their reason.
@@Noplace4haters I think that we both can agree that we don’t know full story. None will take children away from their parents. And my many Norwegian doctor have recommended sharing the room. We should not generalise all doctor based on one doctor advice
@@cherabneha you know what I have started feeling same specially after Germany case where in parents have lied the facts. Very much possible this parents are hiding points which go against them. Norway never told what happened however recently one officer on case told it was not related to hand feeding or co sleeping. Reasons they don't tell due law of case confidentiality.

I'm just now finding out about the after watching it on Netflix. I cannot stop crying for this poor mother I do believe if the father would have helped her more and would have showed a little bit of empathy for what she was going through things would have been a little bit different for her . Shame on those people in Norway that did this women and those children. They were very well taken care of . For Norway to do this is unfair and disgusting. Thank God for that Mother's strength she fought so hard to get her babies back

What is portrayed in «Mrs. Chaterjee vs Norway» film is a true story. She is not the only immigrants who have had these terrible experiences from the child welfare service called “Barnevern” in Norway. Many children have been taken from their parents for no logical reason.

Forcing rules are always unacceptable .... Raising children and which type of clothes to wear is personal & cultural matter hence Norway don't have any right to teach other country's parents about parenting their children. In India most of the people are eating with bare hands and it doesn't mean that all are mentally unstable. Who have given right to Norway to decide the definition of mentally unstable. If any mother is not feeding her child than it may be her mistake but if mother is feeding her child by her hand it is not a crime. Then why Norway is forcing unnecessary rules on immigrants.

That part should not have been shown. The guy is a real, living human being. Unless, he came on record and said this, who knows what each of them said to each other in a fight. The movie shouldn't have made villain of the father.

This mother is so strong and her love for her children is unquestionable. Im sure this mom will be a lucky granny in the future her children will surely not send her to retirement home and die there alone and sad. Her children will surely take care of her just how there mom fights for them.

You are brave that you raised this issue,. I am proud of you. I am a mother same happened with me also. I was living a perfect normal life suddenly these Swedish child support Group(Socialtjänst) came and took away my child from me for no reason . Later when my child has turned again it has been 1 year i didnot see my son because Swedish child kidnappers(Socialtjänst: Governed my Swedish state) went in the School tortured my child again, again and again. In the end they changed my son's School without my permission.

The father is a big idiot. He hung up on the connection in court. All he cared about is his Norwegian nationality. That father is OUT OF THE PICTURE. I HAVE ZERO RESPECT FIR HIM. LOOK AT HOW HE IS NOT LETTING HIS WIFE SPEAK. THEY DIS NOT GIVE THE MILK TO THE CHILD. Now the children, live with their mother in a secluded area of India.
