It's good that they've added the buy option now. It's worth noting though, that you're not really getting the car for $10,000 or $20,000. You also have to factor in that after the work you've done stealing the car, you'd normally sell it for about $395,000. So if you buy it and keep it, you're giving up the $395,000 that you worked for. So really you're getting the car for about $415,000. Still a significant saving on a car that normally costs $1,800,000 though.
You forgot to add the setup cost. In actual cash out, the car costs you 30k-40k when factoring out setup cost + claim cost. You could indeed consider the missed opportunity as a "cost", so whatever the car would have earned you + the setup cost, but that would be more for a low level that would need the money rather than experienced player with millions on hand. If you see there a car you already own, you could even consider claiming the car and get your money back on the one you own (it you actually bought it. most of the supercars I own, I actually got for free through the lucky wheel so selling them would not do me any good)
Considering the fact that they decide what cars we get to steal every week, they could easily have allowed us to choose from a selection of 3. And it's not broken to get 1 multimillion dollar car per week when you consider that the contract missions themselves will almost cover the cost of most of them.
The fact that you can only do the salvage yard robberies once a week adds some kind of rarety to them which makes them more special when you actually do them and more fun at the same time since you're not bored yet by grinding them 50 times in a row each. Imho
i'm fine with them being only once a week but they should pay a lot more to make them balanced. like the hsw time trial makes you 250k in 2 minutes but can only be done once a week so it's balanced.
I picked Strawberry, because you have ways to escape police, and they do have multiple paths to go into the chop shop. I’m also glad to save some of the cars I wanted to buy two weeks ago.
For the little car glitch you just need to go past the barrier on the left side go in first person and look towards the garage door it'll spawn right next to you everytime it's pretty simple once you do it 2 or 3 times
I havent done enough chop shop to say for sure but im pretty sure the salvage option boosts your safe gathering amount which would reduce number of tow truck missions needed for top daily cash.
Sounds about right. I had 160,000 in my safe after doing some salvage jobs when I normally get very little cash otherwise. Maybe a good reason to buy the safe too

Strawberry salvage yard is without a doubt the best location imo. Highway access is great, takes two minutes to deliver cars to Yusuf, and there are tons of missions where you're pissing distance of an objective/task. Only real downside is how cramped it is getting in. Pro tip: join an invite only session if you're forced into towing a car across the map.
I've said it in the comments of a previous video and I'll say it again. As an alternative to making yourself unalive to ditch the cops, you can always do what I do. Park your Personal Aerial Vehicle at your Chop Shop. It MUST be an Aerial Vehicle. Personally, I use my Oppressor Mk II because I have one. But your Sparrow or even your Buzzard will work. Anything that can fly, fit at your Chop Shop's location, and can take off from said Chop Shop location will work. If the cops show up when you steal a car, simply set your waypoint to your Personal Aerial Vehicle and drive to it. Since you parked your vehicle at your Chop Shop, the waypoint should take you right to your Chop Shop. Park your Tow Truck with Stolen Vehicle outside your Chop Shop, grab your Personal Aerial Vehicle, and fly away. Where you can go and how far you'll have to go will depend on your Chop Shop's location. I own the Murrieta Heights location. So I just, literally, fly across the street on my Oppressor Mk II. There's a rather short hill across the street from the Chop Shop at that location. Despite the fact that it's, literally, across the street from my Chop Shop and you can clearly see the top of that hill from the street below, the Cops cannot see me when I'm up there. I just sit up there on my Oppressor and wait for the wanted level to go away, then fly back across the street to my Chop Shop to collect my Tow Truck and complete the mission. I surmise it's because I stay on my Oppressor and since the Oppressor is an aerial vehicle and never actually touches the ground unless you get off it, the game classifies it and you as "in the air" as long as you're sitting on it. And the cops cannot "see" targets classified as "in the air." So even though the cops SHOULD be able to, very clearly, see you from their vantage point on the street below, their programming will not allow them to actually see you. It's a cheeky exploit, but hey, any advantage I can get... For that alone, the Oppressor Mk II is the ideal and recommended vehicle for this as you, literally, don't have to do anything for the Oppressor to hover on its own. For helicopters, you have to keep your throttle up or it will land. Any jet with VTOL (Raiju or Hydra) will also work as VTOL hovers on its own. The Raiju is the better option here as it's a smaller jet and has the superior maneuverability. Still, any aerial vehicle WILL work as long as you can find a place to park said vehicle at or really close to your Chop Shop and that said aerial vehicle can take off from said parking spot. Without VTOL or Oppressor, you'll just have to fly around until the wanted level goes away.
Hey TGG, here's something about 01:00 : when you exit your chop shop, look right(dont move ,only turn camera)so that your vehi will spawn on your left(out of your sight) where inside the wall. By the way, the gang attack event has never(or can't, idk) spawned after i own this chop shop... Which makes me think this is the best one to buy😊
I'm not spending maybe a million on a document business just to save 10K on the claim price. I'm happy to spend 20K claiming the vehicle. It's still a bargain
It certainly sounds nice to get the car that cheap when you claim it. But we have to remember that it costs 400k. The 400k that you didn't get from selling it.
Lore wise, you are faking the title documents which is why it's cheaper if you own the the document forgery office. But still stupid but at least they had a reason and not just added it for nothing
@KeithFlick521 becuase you buy them from the websites which are legit. When you steal a car, you insure it at los santos customs. Obviously they don't show you papers but you have to insure it to make it yours
Hey TGG, love your videos. I just wanted to say thank you for all the help and advice you’ve given to myself and others. I’ve been watching ever since I started and you have helped me a ton
Yeah way better than that one annoying guy on Facebook reels that makes fun of ppl for being broke and all he does is glitch out ls customs and fill garages with random vehicles. Like you can tell he don't have a lot of thought process when it comes to content creation....
The 250k safe will pay for itself over time if you’re not the type that constantly checks your safes in the different businesses. I’ve gone to check the safe when it only held 99k and I don’t know how many times it was already full when I checked it, making me wonder how much more money would’ve been in it if I upgraded, so definitely I lost a considerable amount of money over time by not having more space.
Also, something I found out through doing it unless they changed it is if you do damage the car and want the full payment if you destroy it the car goes back to the salvage yard for you to try and deliver again. I tried it last week and it worked but idk if that was a bug or not but at the least thought it deserved a mention.
Towing tip If possible always hook the vehicle on the part where it looks the heaviest/tallest to reduce swinging while driving For example if you got beater duke always hook the back of the car not the front
@@hostilesavage4299 believe what you want to believe man But next time you got a beater duke try to hook it from the front and then try the back and see the obvious difference

I made a 2nd account with only a salvage yard and I run it every week on both accounts taking advantage before they lower the final sale price on the cars tbh
Why would they lower the price?? You can spend a bit more time than you would doing a full car robbery just doing Cayo perico and you can make 1.5mil from Cayo… if anything they need to bump some of the sale prices up a bit
@@stripeslGFX i agree what I’m saying is I’m grinding out all of these cars as soon as I can so i can get them all sold cus I’m sure in the near future rockstar will buff it and lower the price like they do for most businesses after a while
always had been reluctant about the SY , but when i saw that you could finally get a car for 10k instead of 1700 k , it was an instant buy , and the missions are kinda funny tbh
0:49 I got my Chop Shop on Strawberry, it's one or two blocks away from my Auto Shop! Had a similar situation with my Import/Export Warehouse in Davis, turns out when the Diamond Casino Heist update came out, an Arcade location was placed NEXT BUILDING!
The salvage yard is kinda one of my favorite businesses, the passive income from the safe, the money that comes in from chopping cars you get with your tow truck, and the mini heists to send cars to Yusuf! The only things I do hate are the 3 cars per week that you can rob, and tbh there’s room for chopping 3 cars but for some reason you can only tow 2 cars at a time
I like strawberry more because I do towing jobs. Most of time the spawn is in davis, rockford, or elysian island. Not always. But often enough.... and its also close to highways. So if you need to go to blaine county. Its just straight path on highway.
Tip.. if a tow mission is to far away for you to bother with.. Respawn into a new lobby until you get a closer target. Lifes to short to drive to the opposite side of the map lol 😆 😅 😄...
I own the salvage yard location in sandy and while yes for some missions you need to drive, for the heist setups that spawn in sandy or at the military base its great. Also for tow truck missions, most of the cars spawn in sandy or paleto and only 1 or 2 spawn in the city. It's honesty pretty safe and its not populated like all the shops in the city. If you dont want to be bothered by other players and don't like being in a lonely session, it's probably the best one to get in my opinion.
this is the biggest and most important question. how in the heck he didnt try that? usually tgg try stuff like that asap. still a good vid. but for me this was also the most obvious thing to think about. but i guess its the same like the casinowheel cars...😢
Salvaging the heist cars from my personal experience is they dont increase the safes income and having staff upgrades to increase the speed of which they salvage doesn't apply to the heist cars. You are able to hold onto the highest payout cars from previous weeks to stockpile cool cars to sell multiple with the homies
Anyone else gonna notice how he used the exact same footage from his other salvage yard guide except the only new section is him explaining how to claim the vehicle?
So? Why would he use new gameplay just to show or explane the exact same thing?, man's got a life and more videos to make why make one video more complicated then it should be? You dont know how much times goed into making / filming/ editing a video man
dude i had no problems with the expensive location just for you to know ;) most likely for me its the best most of the missions are just nearby and my vehicles are spawn inside, i dont get the fuse about it anyway have a great day :)
So ngl the auto shop is op in my opinion reason why is cause once you do all the mission you don’t gotta do the setups agine making em easy and quick money
If the vehicle you’re going to tow it too far away(or outside the city) you can always join a new session and do the mission again and repeat the process until you find a vehicle in the city.
Another tip, on the tow truck missions, anything over 2km away blow up your tow truck and start again. The shorter the distance, the easier ands safer it's going to be, damn those griefers
@@opiestone its fucking amazing, when i first got the money i immidietly bought every, property all cars, sorted my garages i just got everything its fun af

The salvage yard has gotta be my favorite business in the game. It’s not the best for making money but it’s probably the most unique and most fun business imo. It doesn’t feel like a chore to maintain as much as the other businesses
I stopped doing the missions to get cars. I have it on the podium mission so I can repeatedly get the van that is immune to the orb cannon and missiles. Bonus it can't be locked onto either.
@@thasoop yeah… if you grind something else. it’s a big deal considering this is newly added into the game and already didn’t compare to other businesses, and got even worse now that rockstar chooses the car that you get to keep. the expectation was that you could keep all 3 cars, or at least choose the one car you want to keep. to make matters worse, the one claimable car this week is the worst out of the 3. the salvage yard was an absolutely useless addition to the game when you can make better money from almost anything else.

The S2 is a pretty cool car, especially with this massive discount going on. Hmm, might need to get this one. But tbf I did one or maybe even none vehicle robbery heist I think. I really keep it as a passive with just picking up 2 cars back 2 back and let them the staff salvage it while i'm doing other stuff for businesses. Having the option to buy them after might make me check more often.
The special license plates (for example the Las Venturas one on the Comet S2 Cabrio) do not safe. after logging off and back on it gets reverted back to the standart San Andreas license plate. (I'm on PC) that does not only happen with this car, it happens with all cars wich have, had or will have the Special License Plates. Sad
I hate the hitbox from the snackbowl inside the shop. Even when dead straight in front it doesn't activate, move a little it will pop up but when moved just a little bit to far and its gone. The snackbowl at simeons is better
have you ntice, whe you use the toe track to pick up a vehicle, there is less chance you will get a wanted level, you have to have you yellow on before you hook up the car.
oh my god, don't use iPhone to make comments, what I was saying here, is if you start you flashing yellow lights, before hock up a car, in the toe truck, you have less chance of gaining a wanted level.
I really wish it just had a cool down like heists instead of adding new cars to rob every week, cause I’d love to add it into my grind rotation instead of the contract, like, Payphone hit, cayo, Payphone hit, cayo on 2nd, and then like the salvage yard robbery, Payphone hit, cluckin bell farm raid, and then another Payphone hit cause I’m really not a fan of the contract 😅
Things to know : Thursday is reset day for vehicle heists as well as car dealers inventory change Wall safe : basic one (for me) capped at 48k dollars, buy the upgrade Selling vehicles: you have 30 minutes to deliver them to the docks, take your time and make sure you don't damage it The center of the city is the best shop location, buy the best tow truck
Click left stick to turn on the strobes (reduces chance of wanted level) Perks of city center salvage yard : night club and auto shop across the street, apartment and MC close by. Super convenient. Save your money and buy what you want, trading buildings is a waste of $$ Hopefully this helps the new infants to the game.
You can get 6 cars a week if you make a 2nd character and get the salvage yard yes you spend an extra couple mill but you make it make back faster then after that it’s double the money each week hope this tip helps anyone who doesn’t like it only being 3 cars a week:)
TOW TRUCK Not sure if it's a thing or not but between my 2 accounts, I seems like if you have the beater truck, you get police on you for tow missions much more often
If I ever do online with someone I probably just save up the money to buy everything for the business cause why not you'll easily make the money back anyway plus with a bigger safe means you can just spam the tow truck missions without goin back to collect the money as often as for the tow truck I think rusty would be more for the looks then performance as if its like the ones in single player you wont get the cops on you so the slight speed difference wont matter
Oh yeah, quick tip about the tow truck missions; if the vehicle is too far away for your liking (like say, 3-4 miles away), just get out and blow up the tow truck. It will fail the mission and let you restart it for a chance at a closer spawn. I'd really only gamble with RNG for a closer car rather than trying for a more valuable car that's closer though.

Only real downside is how cramped it is getting in. Pro tip: join an invite only session if you're forced into towing a car across the map.
Love the amount of detail that went into this guide
Park the tow truck in front of the shop door get out and ewo. Spawn back in with no wanted level and deliver.
Hey TGG, here's something about 01:00 :
when you exit your chop shop, look right(dont move ,only turn camera)so that your vehi will spawn on your left(out of your sight) where inside the wall.
By the way, the gang attack event has never(or can't, idk) spawned after i own this chop shop...
Which makes me think this is the best one to buy😊
La puerta? Rockstar disabled that gang attack for the same reason that you couldn’t enter the salvage yard
@@jmoney7447 wow, didnt know that they just disabled it
I'm not spending maybe a million on a document business just to save 10K on the claim price. I'm happy to spend 20K claiming the vehicle. It's still a bargain
It certainly sounds nice to get the car that cheap when you claim it. But we have to remember that it costs 400k. The 400k that you didn't get from selling it.
been doing this with Biker supplies at the same time, made about 15-20M a week
Feels weird how we pay for a vehicle we stole.
classic rockstar move
Lore wise, you are faking the title documents which is why it's cheaper if you own the the document forgery office. But still stupid but at least they had a reason and not just added it for nothing
it makes sense because you need to have the paperwork done which would be a lot
@@MurkyGames I played gta online for a long time and I never seen any paperwork when buying things.
@KeithFlick521 becuase you buy them from the websites which are legit. When you steal a car, you insure it at los santos customs. Obviously they don't show you papers but you have to insure it to make it yours
That’s the reason why I kept the comet because of the license plate people were asking how I got it 🤣🤣
Hey TGG, love your videos.
I don’t think it’s a bug, you can do the same to the auto shop customer cars and they just respawn in the shop if they get destroyed
So true. Do you want to drive 4.4 miles in a 💩? Reaches for granade 😂@@boeing777pilot5
@@Jinxed.Jr. alright. I thought it was a bug as when my auto shop customer cars got destroyed they never respawned back there
Towing tip
If possible always hook the vehicle on the part where it looks the heaviest/tallest to reduce swinging while driving
For example if you got beater duke always hook the back of the car not the front
Sorry but actual physics is not a thing in GTA 🤡 😂... So it doesn't matter where you hook up at wtf?
Incorrect, to some extent it exists buddy.@@hostilesavage4299
@@hostilesavage4299 believe what you want to believe man

if you restart the game Los Venturas number plates disappear, so I don't think you can really keep it unless there some kind of work around it.
The exclusive plates are awesome and rewarding the player for having done work elsewhere is great! Makes it feel like having a document forgery office wasn’t a COMPLETE waste of cash.
They did not safe for me. after logging off and back on, it got reverted back to the standart san andreas one.
always coming back to tgg when i need to know anything about gta, always worth it
I made a 2nd account with only a salvage yard and I run it every week on both accounts taking advantage before they lower the final sale price on the cars tbh
Nice, now I know I need to grind this
One vehicle per week will be one you can claim for 10-20K
This week is definitely worth it with S2
these jobs are fun but you can't grind them
@@iwearLingerie
You can do 2 sells to Amir and keep one each week so you can atleast make over 500k
Hi everyone! Have a great day
You too God bless you
The speed was noticeable for my friend. He got the beater first upgraded later. He got mad at me because I didn't tell him like I knew 😂😂
Little tip for the snacks in the salvage yard cuz I know it’s hard to open the menu go first person n then go to it it makes it easier
Could you include the claimable cars in your weekly update videos? Would really help a lot.
Tip.. if a tow mission is to far away for you to bother with..
The Salvage Yard is a decent business and the missions aren't too bad. I've been waiting on keeping the vehicles we steal from those missions
Question, I just bought the salvage yard this week and the cabrio is not in the options for me to steal, is it because i just bought the salvage yard?
vehicles change every week and rockstar games will decide whether we can buy it or not.
You need to be able to send staff to do the tow truck collections..
I wonder.... If you keep the vehicle and then try to sell it in LS Custom... Will you get MORE cash _🤔_
this is the biggest and most important question. how in the heck he didnt try that? usually tgg try stuff like that asap. still a good vid. but for me this was also the most obvious thing to think about.
but i guess its the same like the casinowheel cars...😢
@@kennythemeat update: you CAN sell it in LSC but for about 60k (unsure if the recent sell nerf affects it) _🥲_
Thanks for the 25 Point breakdown in regards to salvage yard popularity. Exactly what i was looking for.
Can u keep multiple heisted cars in your salvage yard at the same time
Salvaging the heist cars from my personal experience is they dont increase the safes income and having staff upgrades to increase the speed of which they salvage doesn't apply to the heist cars.
You dont know how much times goed into making / filming/ editing a video man
It's easier just to use your old assets then record, edit and film an entire segment you already did
@@blackray2022 so? He just used the same video added a 5 minute clip and boom calls it a new video its lazy that's what it is
dude i had no problems with the expensive location just for you to know ;) most likely for me its the best most of the missions are just nearby and my vehicles are spawn inside, i dont get the fuse about it anyway have a great day :)
I like the way the business works tbh
So ngl the auto shop is op in my opinion reason why is cause once you do all the mission you don’t gotta do the setups agine making em easy and quick money
If the vehicle you’re going to tow it too far away(or outside the city) you can always join a new session and do the mission again and repeat the process until you find a vehicle in the city.
Glad I’m not the only one that struggles with the snacks 😂
Thanks tgg u put out the most informative information that ive seen, i watch ur uploads asap to keep up with gta news thank you again
Another tip, on the tow truck missions, anything over 2km away blow up your tow truck and start again. The shorter the distance, the easier ands safer it's going to be, damn those griefers

To be fair if you have a second character you will be able to do it 6 times a week instead of just 3 times and for most people I think 1 a day is not to bad tbh with you 😁
Tgg do mind mentioning if u can claim a car in ur weekly update vids?

Good idea.
The salvage yard has gotta be my favorite business in the game. It’s not the best for making money but it’s probably the most unique and most fun business imo. It doesn’t feel like a chore to maintain as much as the other businesses
If you have the car already and you don’t want it again just sell the one you bought for more money and keep the cheap one
Just walk outside of the chop shop, turn right and look at ground in 1st person. Your vehicle will spawn inside the yard under the freeway behind you
I’ve never seen the claim icon
@@TooTwoFour same here
Only works on certain cars not all cars can be claimed
I stopped doing the missions to get cars. I have it on the podium mission so I can repeatedly get the van that is immune to the orb cannon and missiles. Bonus it can't be locked onto either.

Didn’t know about the claim option. Did they recently add that? I haven’t played much in months
I don’t know if I’m stupid or if there’s a glitch but I just bought the yard and none of the vehicles have the red garage to keep it?
It is not always there. Mine only appeared once
It’s only once a month mate.
You can’t keep the cars or at least this feature is not working at the moment
By the way I recommend buying the safe, As imo it is the best safe in the game
Cant choose the car to keep and you can only do so 3 a week man typical rockstar full of wasted potential of a good dlc
If you grind then it’s not that big of a deal.. stop lookin for handouts, it’s easy to make 1 mil in a hour
@@NattyCaddythe one car they choose per week only costs 10k.. of a car that’s 1 mil plus lol it’s not wasted potential u just want free stuff. U can easily make 1 mil per hour.
@@thasoop it’s not about free stuff or the money. i’m pretty sure anyone who still plays the game is absolutely loaded. it’s about the concept.
@@thasoop handouts cuz i want a dlc to have more replayability and alot better than what it is
The S2 is a pretty cool car, especially with this massive discount going on.
Sounds harendous, I've yet to buy this thing...another great video
have you ntice, whe you use the toe track to pick up a vehicle, there is less chance you will get a wanted level, you have to have you yellow on before you hook up the car.
oh my god, don't use iPhone to make comments, what I was saying here, is if you start you flashing yellow lights, before hock up a car, in the toe truck, you have less chance of gaining a wanted level.
Things to know :
Thursday is reset day for vehicle heists as well as car dealers inventory change
Wall safe : basic one (for me) capped at 48k dollars, buy the upgrade
Selling vehicles: you have 30 minutes to deliver them to the docks, take your time and make sure you don't damage it
The center of the city is the best shop location, buy the best tow truck
Click left stick to turn on the strobes (reduces chance of wanted level)
Perks of city center salvage yard : night club and auto shop across the street, apartment and MC close by. Super convenient.
Save your money and buy what you want, trading buildings is a waste of $$
Hopefully this helps the new infants to the game.
@@winkletown8828didn't know that the strobe lights on the truck reduced the chance of a wanted level, cheers 👍
The Las Venturas plates is currently bugged on PC and will not save once you restart your game. Just learned this the unfortunate way.
If I ever do online with someone I probably just save up the money to buy everything for the business cause why not you'll easily make the money back anyway plus with a bigger safe means you can just spam the tow truck missions without goin back to collect the money as often as for the tow truck I think rusty would be more for the looks then performance as if its like the ones in single player you wont get the cops on you so the slight speed difference wont matter
just a quick reminder that this this is called a salvage yard and chop shop is the name of the update that featured salvage yard in december 2023
Out of curiosity, could we put the specialty plate designs on other cars?
Oh yeah, quick tip about the tow truck missions; if the vehicle is too far away for your liking (like say, 3-4 miles away), just get out and blow up the tow truck. It will fail the mission and let you restart it for a chance at a closer spawn. I'd really only gamble with RNG for a closer car rather than trying for a more valuable car that's closer though.
Note to do the free room set up missions you have to be a CEO or MC president
I got the casino robbery mixed up with the podium robbery for elite challenge 😆
Rockstar with a rare minor W. Obviously the better option would be if they let us choose the car we can claim however at least they did something for us
10K is crazy, it’s nice to have the document forgery have a purpose now
