- Today, Matt has taken over my channel and surprised me by disguising our dishwasher to blend with the rest of the cabinetry in our newly remodeled English Country Cottage kitchen. This project turned out so well and is an affordable DIY!

My husband and I went back to see how yall did your butcher block. Thank you so much for the help and advice you both have given. It has truly helped us. We are getting ready to move, so I won't be able to enjoy the change for long, but hopefully, by us doing this together and seeing the benefits and beauty in this project.My husband won't be so hesitant to do so again.

Every time I watched the kitchen remodel videos, I kept trying to look and see if you still had the black dishwasher. Now I see that it was its own project. Kudos to Matt for explaining how to do it, though I cringed when he was sanding it! I'd like to see more of these.

Yes, we try not to make our videos too long. Plus sometimes certain projects are better suited to dedicated tutorials versus a "before & after" transformation. I agree! I don't know if I'd have had the courage to sand the dishwasher! I'll let him know & I imagine he will be appearing again... ;)

I always think it’s a shame when we take the time and money to beautify a kitchen, particularly when it’s in more of a vintage, old world theme but we still have to look at our ugly appliances. No matter how new they are, they just don’t blend nicely with those styles. Dishwashers , especially.

English country style is my favourite! My house has the look of a cottage. And like yours, it’s done with thrifted finds and paint. Don’t dare to wallpaper yet. Well, you might do a bit of research for painting a stainless steel dishwasher... Seems I've heard of paint specifically for that. There is nothing like a home created with personally chosen secondhand finds! Give wallpaper a try ~ it's totally worth it! Lovely spring to you, Miss Janina.

Dishwasher looks great! Just a thought. The slot where you open the door will receive the wear & tear.Have you thought of a way to use a piece of brass trim to match the cabinet hardware and prevent scratches there.Maybe a piece of brass from a mailbox or kickplate that you could shape,clean and polish.I really enjoy your channel.English country has always been my passion.Still is,even at 70+ years I am now working on creating my new home in a Senior's apartment. I suppose this will be my final remodel.Should I eventually share a room in a nursing home, I suppose I will be limited to a picture or two.😅 That's OK, I have plenty to choose from.

I very much enjoyed this tutorial. I would love a painting tutorial with the paint sprayer. Which one is best. How to use. How to get the best results. Watching your husband use the paint sprayer has inspired me to try it myself, I just don't know how to start. I love your kitchen. And also the artwork in the hallway behind the kitchen is beautiful. Matt says: "I've always used Graco brand sprayers & they're very good. To learn how to use them, there are many UA-cam videos that explain it. One UA-camr I suggest is the Idaho Painter. I suggest renting a sprayer for your first project to see if you like it. They are available at Home Depot (in our area)."
