They bury it in the menus as sort of a safety thing on the street but you only have to navigate there once so at the track it's actually a very quick process.
The new SS/ZL run their quickest times, (yes it's quick, because the word "fast" is speed), in manual mode with the automatic. Launch control is no good.
This video was about line lock and not launch control. Lot's of variables around launch control and what's best to use on a "ZL1", but with perfect conditions/traction turning everything off (almost everything) by holding the traction control button down for 7 sec is the best way. Manual mode still leaves a lot of torque management on the table.
I just bought a 2019 SS 1LE and I LOVE these cars I can only imagine the brute force of a ZL1... that’s my next purchase 🤙🏻
You're going to enjoy this one for sure. Love the 19's and currently have one. Bring yours to Camaro Fest in July
Mike Lee heck yeah!! Just looked it up try to see if I can get it off!!

Thanks man!
Screw that I bought sjm and installed in my 1le. One button done
Once it is setup at the track it is one button. Works well.
Wow extremely lengthy process for the line lock.

Great video
what kind of person needs line lock with an automatic trans??
Spend some time at the track... it's a nice feature no matter what trans you have.
it doesn't put wear on the rear brakes. That's the advantage of line lock.
What about the 2ss do they have line lock?
They do not
No, only the ZL1
no😕
This an auto right
Amos Jr. Yes, this was stated at the beginning of the video and shifter is pictured but no difference for the manual

Sounds like you're the only dumb ass that needs launch control
I hope I run you and your in launch control, the car is a full sec slower in launch mode. I'll beat ya in a 450 hp car...
LOL... no

Thanks for admitting your not a car guy.
