    That is pretty decent MPG ! I just did a 250 mile trip in my SS with A8 and finished at 29.8 mpg (95% highway) These cars rock

      MojaveKY that's pretty good, my A8 SS averages around 26mpg highway. The cylinder deactivation is very annoying to me though.

    Why did the computer set the parking brake before the countdown was complete? Mine did that to me and I thought maybe because I didn’t dump the clutch right away..?

      dbf752 need to be in drive in order to engage the linelock correct.

    Just watched your video and is the line lock available on 2017 SS models or just ZL1?

    • @paulkelley86
      @paulkelley86  3 роки тому

      I can't say for the later year ss1LE but in 2017 the zl1 was the only one with line lock for sure.
      When i got it brand new in 2017 there was no videos on how to use the functions yet which I why I made the video. I had to actually read the manual 🤣

    Do the different traction settings only get affected in track mode or every mode?

    • @paulkelley86
      @paulkelley86  Рік тому

      Each mode is slightly different. You can also adjust the wheel slip percentages separately.

      John Paliska the mode button in the center console once you get to that point.

    Hello I bought yesterday a 2018 ZL1 1LE but I really disappointed about this car ,because spend a lot of gas and also is not powerful car at all the same as corvette stingray or grand sport is not the same as Z06 I called the dealership to return the car they didn't accept return I'm so sad ,do you know why the performance of this car bad and what can I do for gas mpg can you help me?

    • @paulkelley86
      @paulkelley86  6 років тому +3

      That doesn't sound right. It is 200hp more than the stingray and grand sport so..... it is a few hundred pounds heavier but by FAR out performs both of those in just about every area. After having it over a year, we couldn't be happier. The 1le will ride a little rougher in town and handle better on track but should have similar performance on the street otherwise. What mode are you driving in? You can do some many adjustments to make it feel different, put it on track mode with competition mode on race so it doesn't cut power on wheel slip if you want it to feel faster, just watch out, it can get away from you quickly.
      Your car is going to be worth a mint since they were so limited production. Sell it to me cheap ;-).

      Thank you so much for information,I have another question ,what can I do to get better MPG I mean gas milage?because spend a lot of gas do you think chips works or no?

    • @paulkelley86
      @paulkelley86  6 років тому +1

      peter John gas=horsepower, can't have one without the other. We find that driving on snow and ice mode, shifting fairly early, and always light gas pedal application helps. Also if highway, going slow.
      "Chips" I assume you mean tune. You may be able to get some, but considering you paid (and I did too) a $1300 gas guzzler tax.....i am sure GM would have simply retuned for a couple more mpg to avoid the tax being applied. I doubt there is much to gain there. We can easily get in the 20s, you should be able to as well, just keep your foot out of it! When we run hard, we see single digit mpg haha.

      Thank you so much for good information ,yes you right ,but i'm not happy at all with this car I had Jaguar Ftype v8 supercharger of course Jaguar is much faster than this I believe that ,but I think camaro zl1 1le the same as corvette grand sport or stingray is not the same as Z06 corvette unfortunately,for example GTR is most fastest car but very economy about mpg 16city 24 hwy

    • @paulkelley86
      @paulkelley86  6 років тому

      peter John I ran into an F type on the freeway and we did a pull. I walked away from him. The zl1 is deceiving since it puts the power down so well and feels so controlled. It is true that the GTR will be faster from a stop, but it's practically a video game. Any shifter that has a P and a D is not for me, call it a dual clutch, still an automatic in my eyes. As for rebuilding, closer to a manual, but driving....how boring.
      Find a grand sport and do a pull, it will be hilarious. The z06 may get you, depends on how well you each hook up. I wish I had the cash, I would buy your 1le and put it away somewhere. What color did you get?
      Still in love with ours, handling the daily drive very well.
