@@brianjames8838 Hey, not knocking the numbers but , like a lot of performers, it's to know when to quit. Not saying Shannon specifically, but when they go too far and are a sad reflection of themselves in their prime, completely shatters the memories. Sad but true. She will always remind me of the BEST times with her music. Why perpetuate something which isn't a remote likeness to the original! It's like old film stars....you were AMAZING.... but people grow old, lose their spark.....nothing wrong with it unless you desperately try to (sorry Cher) turn back time ! Lol. Revel in your highlights....... celebrate your successes.....but know it will never be the same. Let the music play!!!!!
@@malestorm2258 DAFUQ are you even talking about, especially with THIS performance? She sounds fantastic, looks fabulous, and guess what: she's bringing that crowd joy! Yeah, someone at age 60 or 70 isn't the same as they were at age 20 or 30 (no, duh?) but your ageism is totally uncalled for and it's BS.
that might have been true then.. but now California is what keeps it alive. There is no where else in the world where Freestyle artists perform for 20,000 people every year.
The artist were from NY and Miami, but it was big in CA....especially among the Latinos. It was HiNrg, Freestyle, and Hip Hop. Then House came in the late 80s early 90s.
The whole USA needs a cross country 70’s and 80’s dance party.
