Pues no se de donde seas, pero si mal no recuerdo en Mexico la primera cancion en la que vimos hacer break dance como lo conocemos ahora fue en el video "All Night Long" de Lionel Richie en 1983 y en la pelicula Flash Dance igual en 1983 y en ese mismo año (1983) salio "Rock it" de Herbie Hancock que yo creo que seria la primera rola o de las primeras que serviria de fondo a los pasos del break dance y que los combinaban con el moon step (pasito para atras) de Michael Jackson que fue todo un fenomeno en ese tiempo. Ya para el siguiente año (1984) salio la pelicula "Breakin" y todos sus temas sirvieron para bailar break y fue la epoca dorada de la musica electro (1983-1985), pero la cancion mas aclamada y preferida fue Tour de France de Kraftwerk y ya despues salio esta cancion de Shannon, aunque un año antes tuvo muchisimo exito con su "Let The Music Play" . Y no hay que olvidar que el break dance existe desde los 70s y se le conocia como el baile del robot que se hizo famoso por todas esas peliculas de ciencia ficcion futuristas y por el nuevo surgimiento del hip hop y otros generos musicales donde rapeaban como "Rapture" de Blondie. Resumiendo, esta melodia no le dio origen al breaking pues ya tenia mas de una decada de existir en el mundo. :)
STRANGE but i have always been EXTREMELY impressed by something as basic as speeding up or slowing down the master tape!!!. Hardly revolutionary i know but somehow, on this track, that technique REALLY pays off.It's what got me hooked on this @ the very start.So much so that i play this right up to this day.Most people would probably go for LTMP but for me it was always this one!.
