Electronic suspension upgrade for BMW R1200GS/A, and R1250GS/A motorcycles. This video gives an overview of the features in Touratech Suspension's Plug and Travel EVO System.
The Plug & Travel EVO is available for all years and models of the water-cooled BMW R1200GS/A and R1250GS/A motorcycles, equipped with electronic suspension.
The new technology includes a HyperFlow damper piston that is engineered to suppress foaming and cavitation which ensures consistent damping for predictable and stable performance no matter how tough the terrain gets. This combined with the newly developed electromagnetic valve, that responds quickly to changes on the ground, provides a planted feel and enhanced sense of control for the rider.
The engineering feat of auto-leveling suspension is one of the best innovations in the last decade. While this feature has thrown some aftermarket suspension for a loop, the Plug & Travel EVO has been specifically developed to not only accommodate it, but actually enhance the auto-leveling performance of BMW motorcycles.
The EVO also has a power-house pre-load adjuster that improves performance with lightning-fast action and bullet proof reliability.

2011 R1200 GS here....Had the ESA version installed for a trip to Africa at the German HQ and upgraded/rated the springs and it has been the best thing I have done to the bike in all the years of ownership. Noticed immediately on my ride home from Niedereschach :) 65,000 miles since install and going strong.

Glad to hear it! The new EVO suspension is actually noticeably better with the faster components on the new bikes if you can believe that. If you haven't already, you should really consider sending your shocks in for a service. Some fresh oil, piston rings, seals, nitrogen, and a thorough inspection will get them working at 100% again and protect your investment for the long term.
I would recommend owners of the original Tractive suspension to try this new EVO first before purchasing. For very demanding riders, I recommend a real comparison of the new and old Touratech suspension. We can't compare the original BMW suspension - it's a different universe. Simple controls for simple riders 😉
What is the difference between Touratech Evo and BMW Dynamic Esa . ??
These shocks replace the factory shocks to improve the D-ESA on the GS and GSA. The shocks themselves use much higher quality materials and construction. They are tuned for traveling with luggage and have much faster acting electronic components to improve the auto-leveling and damping performance.
Is it true that BMW has an adhesive they are recommending for the duck bill drain in the drive shaft housing so it will no longer fall inside with the slightest touch? It would be great if you could redesign this drain with a better ridge that will hold the thing in place. You will sell thousands because everyone hates the BMW designed one. Please let us know?

Is there possibility to test a bike with your suspension somewhere? I dont mind flying to germany and paying for a day rental.
That's a good question. We don't have a bike in the US that is insured for rentals like that. I'm not sure if Touratech Germany has options like that currently.
