    Touratech Suspension is the world's first purpose-built shock absorber for long-distance touring with a fully-loaded motorcycle. Right out of the box, it has the strength, features and adjustments to go the distance, even while hauling luggage. Over-built by design, Touratech Shocks are constructed with heavy-duty materials and over-sized components.
    GlobeRiders Founder, Helge Pedersen, uses Touratech Suspension. Read more about his experience with Touratech Suspension here: www.touratech-usa.com/Adventur...

    Helge convinced me to put them on my GSA. They are great. I don't miss the ESA.

    Good Question. You can put them on an ESA bike, you just won't have the ESA functionality. However, you will have better performance, reliability and a shock that is purpose-built for ADV riding. GlobeRiders Founder, Helge Pedersen, replaced his stock ESA suspension with Touratech Suspension because he has seen the ESA shocks fail too many times on his expeditions. Read about it on the Touratech USA blog.

    Hi, I m looking to buy a new gs 1200 but after seeing the whole range of accessories and additions from touratech., I wonder if it would make any difference anymore whether it is a 2012 or 2013 gs and would the esa function or option is still nessecary after your shock absorbing system. Kindly advise. Cheers.

    I don't fancy to much eleclectronics on motor bikes, but i have a stupid question to ask, to use these kind of suspensions, my next bike must be whith out the ESA, I supose ?

    I just bought a bike with a Touratech shock (with HS/LS knobs, etc) but I didn't get the tools that are supposedly supplied with the shock. Can you guide me what tools I need to buy that will perfectly fit the Black-T models?

    • @TouratechUSA
      @TouratechUSA  2 роки тому +1

      Depending on what model shock you have you will need either a flat blade screw driver or a 4mm ball-end hex key to adjust the damping. We don't sell many of the Black-T models here in the USA so you may want to contact the Touratech suspension distributor in your region to see if they have spare model specific tools available.

      @@TouratechUSA Yes you're right, it turns out a 4mm hex key does the trick. I thought the three-pointed "star" surrounding the hex socket screw was the thing that needs turning and needs a special tool, but it turns out that was just a red herring.

      @@markhardy5513 Sounds good. The three pointed star is what we use to drive the threaded valves into the shock body. You don't want to turn that!

    have they changed much since ?? made by 'Tractive' for Touratech right ?

    • @TouratechUSA
      @TouratechUSA  2 роки тому +1

      Still made by Tractive for Touratech. There are plenty of new models like the Plug and Travel electronic shocks and the Inline Extreme shocks with an inline reservoir. The basic components are still the same and we've had fantastic records for both reliability and performance over the last 10 years.

    You say the shock is rated for a rider that is 220 pounds. Do you have any shocks that are rated for larger riders?

  • @yayoi1

    Damping, not "dampening."

      Yeah that hurts to listen to. We've learned a lot about suspension in the last 9 years.

    this is no relevant info any more. the quality nowadays is so bad and they do not make external reservoir any more. I have bought shock 6 month ago and it was big mistake.

    • @TouratechUSA
      @TouratechUSA  2 роки тому

      We certainly do still make shocks with external reservoirs and there has been no change in production or quality. We have always had options without external reservoirs. Please give us a call or email if there are any problems we can help with.
