Many thanks! I am 78 now living in South America, but I spent all of my young summers first in Atlantic City and then Wildwood. Many fond memories of Wildwood.
Was just there past 2 days…many things closed already but still great. Said hi to my seagull friends but Missed my Duffers this year! 🍦 and the good ol’ tram car.
I really loved that walk, the wildwood boardwalk when I was young was no where near that long. Has more additional stores and paces you could play games (like mini golf) I remember when we got to the convention center that was pretty much it. I saw some of the actors from the original star trek back then. Now you see how far back that was when I was a kid. Loved that walk boy!!!! That wildwoods today is super long!!!!
I love Wildwoods, our son lives in Cape May. We stayed at the Biscayne Family Resort in the Crest until the last four years, we bought a motorhome and stay in it now when we come of from Florida. I love the atmosphere of the shore, we call it the beach in Florida. I love the boards. Thanks for your videos I just found them last night. I hate to see what Ivan did to the shore. Glad to see all the renovating going on in Wildwood. Looking forward to the summer of 2023.
Thank you so much for wonderful WildWood videos! It’s my favorite place in the world. I went every year as a kid, stopped around 18 and just started going back last summer at 30. I was so glad to see that not too much had changed. This video is scratching my boardwalk itch until I go back this July!
Thanks for the walk. If I remember where the wildwood sign years ago use to be shuffleboard park was nice! When we stayed again years ago down by Hassles was San Souci motel stayed for many years now condo’s 😢. Older generation will remember how the .25 cent games we won radios, record players lots of things like that! So many places have gone for restaurants off boardwalk also that come to mind, have to see about what new comes next. Thanks again for walk.
This was great. Would you consider a video walking along Ocean Ave and getting the hotels, etc from the Crest to the Boardwalk or beyond? Thanks for your work.
Other call outs: Curly's fries at the front of Surfside and Mariners piers, delicious crinkle cut fries. Also Oxygen Tattoo next to Mack's. Story behind the Starlux mini golf: That used to be the Rio Motel, which was a staple of my childhood, teenage, and early 20's years. They rented the parking lot across the street from their property since there was not a lot of parking at the actual motel. When the new convention center was built, they out bid the Rio owners for that lot to add it to parking for the convention center. Without that parking, the Rio could not bring in enough business, and died off sadly. It was one of the greats. The Starlux owners bought the land, demolished the Rio, and built that mini golf.
WATCH THE TRAM CART PLEASE!!! What the speaker of the train says when people is in the way I use to live in Oak ave right around the old bus station wow it brings back old memories. 😅😢.
Great video Joey! It will be packed this weekend with the Irish Festival, car show, & Seafarers. There's going to be music at Centennial Park on Saturday, then fireworks on the beach at 9
Thank you so much for doing this video Joey I remember my wife and I walking the full length of the boardwalk when we were younger and we enjoyed it so much we can no longer do it but it is nice to remember keep up the good work maybe one day we will run into you
Really enjoyed this video! Thanks! I always thought it would be a good idea to extend the tram car all the way down along the Crest to the Admiral Resort. And even extend it from the north end. People have always talked about stuff like that over the decades. Back in the '90s, they were talking about making a bike bath on the beach that paralleled the boardwalk's entire length. They only ended up building some of it in North Wildwood.
I have never walked the entire boardwalk. But before the casinos came people walked and shopped more some just liked the beach and water. Yes it smelled so good too It’s changing sadly like everything else.
We'll be there this weekend! Arriving Friday mid-day and staying until Monday. Will be at the Oktober-Fest Sat afternoon, will say Hi if we see you 🍺 😀
Can still remember while 9 years old decided to push my 2 year old brother on the boardwalk right after breakfast. Started out at 20 the Street then to where it ends at the Crest. He started crying because he did not want me to turn stroller around. Wished they reinstalled the concrete tram car run way while rebuilding the boardwalk. Easier to push strollers on.
Joey, truly appreciate what you do your videos get us through the winter. Question for you, has the city of wildwood ever tried to address the litter issue?
OMG 😱 back in the 70's and early 80's when I was there a week each year it was jammed until midnight when everything closed up. And their was wall to wall people everywhere! Looks like 50% of everything is closed at 1030 pm in August? Their was at least 10 times more people than this. Did the pandemic chase everyone away or what? Or is wildwood just dying?
Believe I saw $4 on a vid. Was only a quarter when I was a kid . Used to sneak on it where it made the slight turn between Curleys fries & Sam's Pizza. My wife has a bad back and it's lack of a descent suspension prevents her from traveling more then a few blocks.
It would have been nice to see the jersey shore go here instead of just staying in seaside like they did where by the 6th season it got old and the show got discontinued from loss of interest. The only two other places they went were Miami and Italy during winter but all the other seasons took place in seaside and only a small section in one episode was in Atlantic City. They should have done a different boardwalk each season to make it more exciting. Seaside one season then Wildwood the next then Atlantic City and ocean City the next season. NGL it did start to get kinda boring season two all they did was go to Karma and Bamboo and occasionally had scenes on the boardwalk and the rides.
My favorite videos! Literally like being transported to Wildwood minus the 5 hour drive. I can't wait to go back and these videos really help.

The BEST boardwalk!! It's always a party on the Wildwood boardwalk!!
This is so great! Thanks for the walk. Only thing missing is the smell of caramel corn and salt water!

I don't know where Wildwood is but it's pretty cool.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is the best Boardwalk in the world. Been there a million times. Yea, I'm old
Thanks Joey.
I grew up in Wildwood. I think everyone has done that walk at least once. So proud to be a Wildwood native.
Have loved Douglas Fudge since the seventies! They also have a shop in Stone Harbor.
We used to go there every summer when we lived in NJ. Miss it!
Great time of year in the Wildwoods
I spent many years as a teenager at New Jerseys 😅shore and my favorite was wildwood beach boardwalk, I missed it.
Wow you have brought back many memories of my Wildwood days glad you went to Cresse Ave thank you for this great video

I enjoyed that very much!
This makes me want to cry seeing montego bay resort we were there for a week end of July and it was always peaceful up that end

Aw Joey, you missed come pizza man! Right down at the Wildwood Crest end of the boardwalk.
Thank you for this, it's been so long since I have walked the boardwalk... I need to get back to Jersey
You timed this perfectly, one day before the cold front took over New Jersey!
Really enjoyed this video! Thanks! I always thought it would be a good idea to extend the tram car all the way down along the Crest to the Admiral Resort. And even extend it from the north end. Thank u for ur videos! …I worked at chez Pierre’s restaurant on the board walk …was wondering if it is still running 😊
I have never walked the entire boardwalk. But before the casinos came people walked and shopped more some just liked the beach and water. Yes it smelled so good too It’s changing sadly like everything else.
They need a Philly pretzel factory store!! Yummy!!!
The Wildwood boardwalk is a wonderful place and I wonder what would come to the piers next year?
Wilwood. yo, this is good upload~see ya!, 💪

When did Nickels midway pier? I spent a summer working there 20years ago
2024 Video of Wildwoods
When did you film this. Just wondering bc school already started
I’m confused too. When I left tuesday of last week , the piers & Boardwalk was mostly closed …
He starts the video saying it's a beautiful August night
I film my videos about 2-3 weeks in advance
“Beautiful august night” heard this at the beginning
In August
Joey, truly appreciate what you do your videos get us through the winter. Question for you, has the city of wildwood ever tried to address the litter issue?
Is the boardwalk like 2 to 3 Miles long from end to end
1.8 miles lol
What's the name of the motel above Sam's pizza??
Did you have to walk all the way back to get your car?

What's it cost to ride the tram now??

What happens to the hot spot?? I loved to eat there!!!
It’s still there at 22:01. Love their sausage subs!
I’ve been to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, Capitola boardwalk, and Myrtle Beach boardwalk, but Wildwood is still the best!
I've never seen anyone in XO Pizza
Wildwood is the most dead I’ve seen it as I write this.

They were supposed to but the city said no
@@WildwoodVideoArchive Do a lot of New Yorkers come down to wildwood or is that more the case in seaside?
Very dead for an August summer night.
You've never seen the Simpsons? Do you live under a rock?
I don’t watch that show
You're walking the boardwalk dude, your not producing a feature film, enough with the gimble
Filmed in 4K too to preserve the history. Glad you enjoyed it
