I was there this year too! It’s such a great boardwalk, wnd the beach itself is solid. Thing is me and my family stayed at the Bolero… AKA the worst hotel there.
Thanks Joey as always you're the Best in telling us everything about the WILDWOODs n what's new n all!! Its always great seeing the entire boardwalk!! This is our FAVORITE vacation place always for year's n years!! I started going to Wildwood when I was in my teens with my family, now I'm 53 n I've been still going there with my kids n husband ALWAYS!! Yearly!! Sometimes 2xs a year!! We all look forward to going back to WILDWOOD every year! It wouldn't be the same if we didn't go at least 1x a year for vacation. We usually stay from 9 to 12 days or more every time we go...... We just LOVE WILDWOOD!!! I mean who wouldn't love it!!! Hugs to you n enjoy your time this summer!!🤗😍❤💖💖😍🤗⛱🏖⛱
I went here in July. Had to stay at the Bolero and went on the Spring Shot and did some other stuff. The boardwalk is long but REALLY fun! I just window shop however… Most of my time was dedicated to chilling on the beach and riding rides.
Contrast this video with the night walk. The crowds appear at night. So many things to do during the day- short trips, the beach, boating, various restaurants, shopping. But once the sun starts to set, the boards are IT. Joey, another good one. I'd like to see a bike tour of the Crest end, to the 2 Mile Beach Unit of Cape May NWR. Neat preserve with protection for nesting shorebirds. Thanks again!
I just want to say thank you my whole family would go to wildwood every summer since I was a very little girl we stayed at the aquarius and became close with the owners my mother loved wildwood unfortunately she's been gone over 13 years I have not been there in a very long time so ty for bringing it to me
It's great to see that they finally renovated the southern end of the boardwalk near the Crest. It literally took them decades to get moving on that project. In fact, there was once talk of extending the wooden boardwalk all the way down into the Crest. That never happened. Maybe someday?
Some of the old video's my brother and I could have been in literally the one's of the town promoting Wildwood we will be walking on the boardwalk with my grandmother we would go up to Pacific avenue it was so beautiful back then we lived on Roberts avenue it was my grandmother's house. We came down there every summer I was actually born in burdette Tomlin hospital my father was born in Wildwood Mr Scully was one of his best friends they went to Wildwood Catholic together my father Scully . Thank you very much for your video.
I love the fact that you did this video so many different things walking down memory lane a lot of the things that you explained just I can't get down there this year and I love being down there I wish I couldn't move down there permanently and
Oh Man..my family was down that week, I was hoping to meet you that week,I know you're out and about all the time but I missed it. Keep doing what you do, we love it.
I love your videos so much you are the best. I always look to see what you're posting about, talked to you on the beach one day , when I asked you about places to eat you gave the best advice. You have great references and I continue to forward your recommendations to others.
Joey, 2 or more DQ's, Macks's Pizza i hear its a Boardwalk institution, didn't see acentral police station, Kohr Bros, every 500 feet. Thanks for the tour!
Be back down in September for monster truck weekend and it's my birthday 🎂 when I'm down there.cant wait..maybe I'll see you then Joey.been trying to meet ya for a few years now.til next time👍🙏❤😎byeee
Ahh the Wildwood boards! Lots of memories. When I was little, talking later 60s, early 70s, I remember games where you pulled strings to try to win a prize, I think they were a nickel or a dime initially. Anyone else remember these? I also recall little eateries that had a lot of fake foliage and flowers on the ceiling, very tropical.
Im gonna be going down there for the car show/Irish Festival im looking forward to riding the bike on the boardwalk as well.. im going down on the 21st it sound like fun..
My daughter and I are coming down for six days and staying in Diamond Beach with my mom. She lives there year round. My band, Heaven's Thunder, is playing the Boardwalk Chapel Saturday night, August 19th. Come check it out. We are a Christian Rock band. We sound a bit like Lynyrd Skynard.
Hi. I have a suggestion that I offer with all due respect. You’re such a popular, but often busy, guy on the boards. Have you considered maybe hosting some kind of meet & greet event? Perhaps a cocktail reception for your patrons or a booth at the farmers market? Maybe for a goodwill donation, fans can get a pic and an autograph. You could even raffle some Etsy products or offer some other swag. The proceeds can go to charity or for WVA itself. Not sure the feasibility of such an event, but just a suggestion. ❤
Back in the 60's there was no convention center and where the parking lot is was The Best playground. Definitely not OSHA approved but such fun. Then down near Rio Grande was s couple of blocks of shuffleboard courts. Thanks for the tour. Man we walked those boards as kids😊
God i remember going there every summer in my childhood with my family. There was a shop god I forgot of that shop but it used to sell comics and cards and stuff like that. I miss going there I miss going on the rides and the games on the boardwalk. I miss going to the beach getting hotdogs and ice cream on the beach also the pool we used to go to it was a pool with a slide and a white bridge there was another pool on top that connected the slide to the downward pool. There was also a restaurant name duffers I think it had a train on the wall and arcade I hope that place didnt permanently shut down. Ah memories
I didn’t notice the Stewart’s , on the beach side of boardwalk, anybody know is that gone now. Use to sit upstairs and have soda and food? Thanks again Joey hope to see you someday!
This is a great place when I was a kid but once I got to see Ocean City, MD as an adult, I never went back to Wildwood, NJ. Ocean City, MD with its bars and restaurants is just the best. Wildwood, NJ is better for the rides and games so it is better for kids. But to party and have great food as well at a beach, Ocean City is the best.
Ive experienced the exact opposite. Wildwood was roudy, now that im older , ocean city is more my pace. Its not as crazy as i thought it would be. Ive seen crazier things in Wildwood.
???? MORNING JOEY,IL BE DOWN TUESDAY!!!WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SPRAY PAINT GUY WHO DID PLANETS-City views-Aliens ect is he still on the boardwalk I was down there in June and July. I didn’t see him.
That was me, my wife, and my daughter right as the gimbal began to shake. The family loves your videos, keep up the good work!
Love those Wildood Days. No matter day of year it is.
Thanks, love hearing the seagulls!!
These videos get me so excited to come down wildwood. See y'all this month!
Thanks for the walk down the boardwalk, I hope to be able to return one summer! Lots of good vacation memories!
I was there this year too!
It’s such a great boardwalk, wnd the beach itself is solid.
Thing is me and my family stayed at the Bolero… AKA the worst hotel there.
Thank You Joe.
Nice!
Day and night. I can get my Wildwood boardwalk fix!

Enjoy your vids. Brings back great memories. Next time I visit my family in Brigantine, I need to stop by Wildwood (former Bergen County,NJ resident).
Hey Joey! That was my uncle and my two cousins who were excited to see you! 13:20
It's great to see that they finally renovated the southern end of the boardwalk near the Crest. It literally took them decades to get moving on that project. In fact, there was once talk of extending the wooden boardwalk all the way down into the Crest. That never happened. Maybe someday?

Hey!! Thank you so much for the suggestion. We are planning for something next year. :-)
Walking tour of the wildwood crest “boardwalk” and maybe the one in north wildwood

Any info on the lights strung over the Boardwalk only in the one spot
Any historic reason why there are no buildings next to Adams?
Does anyone notice that segals sit on top of the light poles sometimes
Waiting for someone to drop a french fry or a pretzel. Some are bold enought to try to swipe them out of your hands.
Can you do a walking tour of crest👍
I didn’t notice the Stewart’s , on the beach side of boardwalk, anybody know is that gone now. Use to sit upstairs and have soda and food? Thanks again Joey hope to see you someday!
Mexican restaurant opened in its place, sad.
@@juleslaurence6790 that is to bad. Thanks for the update haven't been down in a while
Is there a pier missing between mariners and Morey's heading south to the crest?? Hmmm 🤔
Hi. Are all of the Hot Spots gone??? Haven’t been to Wildwood in years….

On the beach! Literally thousands of people on the beach on any given day in the summer
