      As this video is attempting to teach us, I tried changing the color of an object by going to Layer Menu-- but by following his instructions, I couldn't get it to work. I went to "Layer menu", then "New Adjustment Layer", then "Hue/Saturation", saw the color sliders, then undid "Master", but my object is a black arrow I want to change to a different color, and black doesn't appear in pull down menu, and the eye dropper tool never appeared. So this tutorial is a big bust for me, unfortunately. I'll have to look at other videos or tutorials, and hopefully I can figure this color change thing out.

    is there best easiest way to color a number in two different color (50% white and 50% black) but at an angle (45 degree) - I usually use marquee tool but it's only good for horizontal and vertical.... thanks

    WOW - i thought you would have to outline what you wanted to change!!! So simple - well the way you show it is so simple. I am going to try it now as I only have a 7 day trial of Photoshop and then I have to decide to buy or not. So i am doing a crash course to see how I get on with it. Thank you so much for this video, it has been an eyeopener and its the first video of yours that I have watched - i am off to watch some more of your 30 days of Photoshop.

      @Tokey the only thing that sort of worked for me was changing the Preset to "Sepia". I takes the colors into more neutral territory, and you can lighten and darken til it's close to white and black.

    • @r3dp1ll
      @r3dp1ll Рік тому

      It would be ugly as almost everything in the real world is a gradient. You could add a square to your image in the color you want then with hue/saturation change the color of your element and try to match your the color of your square.

    How Do I Change the specific value of a colour to a specificcc colour I want.. I mean because Ive already Eyedropped the colour, and I want that Exact colour, tones and shades and all.. to be applied.. as accurately as possible.. clicking and dragging bar to find colour is ok least if your just messing around in photoshop, but I want to model it directly after a specific colour... e.g. oyster white.. I want it as exact as real colour...

      @@kokochono5054 Surprised there hasn't been a video on this already (maybe there has), but I had look everywhere on UA-cam for this. And you get naiivish videos like this.. that's what I get, closest result for making colour absolute. Seriously? I thought there would be all kinds of content on this. But clearly not. No offence to those who are beginners (of course), just thought there would be something advanced/technically-oriented for those who use Photoshop day in/day out/who know how to use basic techniques already. I am very surprised/confounded/flabbergasted/Astounded.

I was trying to change color of a bridal dress and there were alot of shadows ( curves) in the dress. I was able to change the color but had difficulty in shadow areas. Also can we use color picker or enter RGB values in the Hue adjustment dialogue box. Please make a tutorial on this also.

    • @bveuxx
      @bveuxx 5 років тому

      @@PhotoAlbert May I just add that you would also need to alter the lightness slider so that the object being re-coloured is not actually black to begin with. If you do this, you will find it works perfectly. If black to begin with, use lightness slider to brighten, if white then use it to darken, pres 'colorize'.....and then change the colour! You may also find it easier to make a selection of the object as well before adding the colour.
