Brendan, those are excelent ways of changing color. I use 'image'-'adjustments'-'replace color' very often. When I can't get the color I need there, then I use one of these metods you used in this video. Sometime a mixture of them! There are other ways, but those are easier indeed

what color shirt is the best base color to start with to change it to any other color, dark, light, bright, any and all color? or is there a base set of colors to start with that are best to be able to change the color to any color?

very good video. but it looks a bit fake the extreme colors in the end. is there a way of making it look less fake? I have the same issue right now you can see that the light and shadows are not proper and it gives this painted look

You can always assume the latest version of Photoshop. This is Photoshop 2024 (aka Photoshop CC)
Question: I tried it with a white shirt and the edges don't come out clean. Is there a way to fix that, something like feathering before changing color? Or something else completely? thanks.

how do you zoom in? i tried with mouse wheel,hold shift down and mouse wheel,ctrl and mouse wheel,alt and mouse wheel.nothing happens
just found it out hold alt+mouse wheel
you forgot 1 step before you can click on hue,saturation: first click on adjustment presents,then you have the opportunity to click on single adjustments,THEN you can click on hue,saturation.

why not to show ALL the ways? it's arguable that these are the best
These are the methods that would apply to the vast majority of projects besides changing black to color. These are also what I'd argue to be the least complicated and simple to understand which is why I recommend them. I don't often discuss ALL methods for something when only a few of them are actually useful for the majority of people. But as with all things Photoshop, it's subjective. If you find a different method easier that you know about, you should definitely use that. For me, I'm just sharing what I personally prefer.

If you would like another take on this check out this tutorial on the Color Replacement Tool: ua-cam.com/video/mFQLZjALTEM/v-deo.html . The way this tool works is not immediately obvious but in my opinion can be an extremely good way of changing colour in Photoshop.
