Jon Hamm is so likeable, that even as a villain I still root for him.
hard not to in this movie.. love of his life got taken away because some stupid kid with an ipod didnt think things through
@@aikonoklas She got killed for not taking cover and trying to be badass
@@aikonoklas lol !!
@@aikonoklas Pretty sure the love of his life was killed, because said love decided to duel wield SMG's with no cover whatsoever XD
@@miguelhuerta5603 And engage in a life of crime
I love how Buddy checks the music Baby is listening to just to see if Baby is truly into Deborah. Even though Buddy could just lash out, he still understands Baby's taste in music.
This is my favorite part of this movie. When you see that reveal of buddy you just know exactly what he’s going to do and you get a big ball of dread in your gut.
When a man has nothing to lose, he becomes the most dangerous.
As much as I love the driving, this is my favourite scene in the entire movie. The way Buddy looks at Deborah when she over-fills the coffee is hilarious.
The suave way he says “that’s plenty” as coffee spills over the edge always gets me😂
All the while she's scared for her life. 😀😀😀😀
I just loved that quick decision of baby, he didnt want to kill him, but he wanted to get away, he wasnt gonna win a punch fight so he shot point blank in the shoulder and make a run for it, that was a great storytelling around baby
It also shows how much he disliked bats earlier in the movie to have killed him since he didnt even want to kill the dude who was dead set on murdering him
@@Brain-Wormed Bats was nuts. He knew something was fishy about Baby. Good thing he died in the car rather than being gunned down by those cops who killed Monica.
Han shot first!
And so did Baby!
(and there is literally NOTHING wrong with that)
couldnt they have gotton away if baby shot him in the face
@@randomrazr Ofc but it woulda been out of character, baby was never cold blooded
I love how Baby plays a romantic track because he's about to meet Deborah and the reveal of Buddy is such a juxtaposition but the lyrics reflecting how Buddy feels about Baby saying that he's never going to stop until he kills him
that was brilliant!
Nobody’s talking about the music in this scene. It’s so perfect. As Buddy is revealed we here the slow and romantic music with the strings in the background, giving us a slight sense of unease! Awesome stuff!
Yeah! I agree, this is better than any other horror movie that i've ever seen.
What is the song's title
@@ariaseptiawan1532 Never, Never Gonna Give You Up by Barry White
John hamm is so cool, and hilarious, the way he motions to Debra for more coffee cracks me up every time, top actor
It syncs with the beat of the music, too.
@@alexhuynh7563 perfectly
Bro wouldve been fine if he got out of the city driving normally. He tipped them off by being a drift king
I think he was trying to get to that parking lot as fast as he could to get his moms tape lol
@@BrownHammwrtrue, he could’ve gotten it if he had done the job granted not anyone can do that and it can take a toll on someone long term.

Bro said cars don’t talk lmao I talk to that 6.4 on a daily !!!
God even the beeping of the door being open is on sync
The riff was in sync with the crickets creeking too. This movie’s a masterwork of sound editing and mixing.
Edgar Wright and the teams he hires are amazing at what they do
Even the taps on the coffee mug
0:40 With no context, Jon Hamm can sell a million coffees with this shot here.
The parallel between Buddy and Baby, as they listen to that music at the same time, is amazing. The whole movie could be seen as a compare/contrast between Buddy and his love, and Baby and his love.
Everything is so on beat in this movie its beautiful and satisfying
That’s what I love about this scene and what makes it so memorable. Everything is on cue to the beat of the music. I’ve seen countless movies and shows play this song in them but this film, under the direction of Wright, made the best usage of it by far. The opening of the doors down to the turning of heads to the eyes dotting in other directions was on cue to the music. This is how you make a perfect musical without anyone singing. Brilliant, brilliant movie.
"My darling. She was a good girl."
No she wasn't. She was a bat out of he'll! Shooting at cops with two Tech-9's? 🤣🤣🤣
You make a good point about her and the Tech-9's.
Looked more like MPX’s without a stock
@@cancerousnut7767 they were
@@raymason9907 That’s what I figured. Not even sure if it would be practical without a stock, even less so two of them
@@cancerousnut7767 Yeah, actually. What WAS she thinking? I mean, I don’t wanna be an armchair-general or anything, especially considering the training American cops get, but there was no way she was making it out of that one. It’s ridiculously hard to dual-wield anything in general, even more so two modified TEC-9’s that you’re firing full-auto at arm’s length. She was surrounded by a dozen cops not far away and just as many cop cars. She made her own firing squad.
Still makes for a great scene though.
"Can I atleast get my goddamn phone?"
"No."
Simple yet one of the funniest sh*t in this movie.
This scene makes me want to drink a cup of coffee
Yeah pure black bitter Americano!
edgar just knows how to make fun/entertaining films
Love how everything in the movie syncs well with the music. It's like you can't tell but obviously you can notice and if you listen closely to every single sound, everything throughout is just so dam clever. This scene was awesome and their reactions the whole time got me. Also is no one going to talk about the stealing the car scene?
Fuckin love how auditory this movie is
2:03 - the two taps of the glass matching the music ♥️
This part was unbelievable crazy how the song fit
Never gonna listen to that song the same way, after this scene :/
Never gonna.. give you up
The one weird choice in this clip was Baby driving like a maniac while on the run.
Thinking the same thing. Everyone is worried about the shot cop. You just took a new car and have a good chance to disappear. But that didn't fit the genre
@@herberthickey5998 well buddy has some 6th sense in finding/tracking baby down. he did lead to the death of darling
Yeah but my guess is that it’s because no one can drive like him, he’s confident that he’ll lose the police just like he literally demonstrated earlier in the movie
You know he gotta impress his girl
Maybe he knew that doc is currently packing things up at the base and he wanted to get there before he was gone.
This movie has the makings of a comic book movie but without any super powers. Lol Well, Baby's driving skills are pretty much superhuman.
I felt bad for buddy I knew when he put on that earbud it’s was gonna be insane but him singing along just a lil made him more likable
Yeah exactly! the contrasting emotions it evoked in those few seconds of the scene is class at another level. It seemed for a moment that he was going to empathise seeing Baby and Deb are madly in love, but he was more mad about losing Darling. Roller coaster of emotions and speculation for movie watchers!
This whole movie was based on a music video and it shows but so perfectly! Normally this kind of music goes well with a scene where the main character has to adopt a super smooth suave persona to win the girl, kind of like they make fun of in Anchor Man when they play Use Me, but here he's simultaneously winning over the girl and trying to convince Buddy that he's confident and in control. Both to comfort Debora and to shake up Buddy and make him doubt his ambush. With the info we have as the audience we know he's bluffing all the way but it plays in step with the music
This scene is flawless in my opinion. Everything's perfect, acting, music, dialogue.
Should've watched it in the theatres dammit
This movie was actually really good to watch in the theater
It was bloody awesome, I watched it twice in theatres
Still a great movie either way.
One day I hope you have / find a good home theatre set up and watch all the movies you want
@@nour2146 put the damn knife down sir
The whole point of background music just smartly done in this movie, baby having constant noise in his ears and listening music to ignore it 🔥💯
Literally every single scene is a Gold
buddy is too good character.
I feel sad about this scene even though it is just a movie.
I find it very funny that the sexy vibe kicks in and he's just sipping coffee as if baby's got the hots but no filter
I did not just hear some dude named _Baby_ dramatically say: *_”All we need is us, music, and a car”_*
😂😂💀💀😂😂
#1. If you shoot a bad guy, make sure he's dead. #2. Take his gun. #3. Make your getaway smooth and quiet.
If Baby tried to take his gun, he probably would’ve gotten shot like the cop did
1. He wasn’t trying to kill buddy. He shoot’s him dead in the shoulder at point blank range. Dude is smart enough to know that wouldn’t kill.
@@DevinEMILE not killing him was a mistake even if he intentionally let him live it got the innocent cop killed and almost got baby killed later
Baby isn’t a hardened killer though. Even though his survival instincts kicked in enough to shoot Buddy, he still remembered that he’s never shot anyone before and I’m sure that played into his decision. Not everyone can be John Wick in every action-thriller narrative especially when there’s been no build up whatsoever to suggest that someone like Baby, who is mostly pure, could or would ever do that. What he did to Jamie Foxx’s character was an impulse decision. Pulling a trigger to end someone’s life is more premeditated.
@@wyattnyfeler7270 throughout the entire movie, Baby is shown to hate murder. And Baby shooting the guy trying to kill him and his love in the _shoulder,_ makes a lot of sense.
The only reason he kills Bats is because of how much he hated him for enjoying murder.
Because of this movie, at least one of my grandsons has driven the wheels off cars & pickups with music blasting
The Dodge Challenger scene is so dope!
Buddy and Darling were my favorites in this film. Jon Hamm was awesome
this movie is amazing
I love this movie so much its one of my favourites.

I love this scene! Hands down my favourite movie of all time!
love the movie, hated Jamie Fox's character. who wants a crazy wild card in a heist team? and a bad wild card at that
Yeah he is such a good actor. Can't blame Baby for killing that menace.
Yeah, the character fitted as a last minute one off contract but it never made sense that spacey with all his careful planning would want such a magnet for bodycounts and bloodshed around to draw unwanted attention.
@@andybrown4284 exactly!!!!! no sense
He was a wild card in Baby's eyes, not anybody else on the team
Been seeing all these clips I had to go back and watch this movie. Such a fun movie. Forgot how funny Kevin spacey was in this.
I never watched this movie even when it came out till recently and omg it was a blast
I remember watching this movie while waiting for my surgery to start, good film
Buddy was an Admiral in another life, risking his career by making Maverick mission leader.
“Can’t keep running Baby, there’s no escape”
The song blends so well 😊
fucking love the use of lighting here and in the later parking garage confrontation
"he just shot a guy"
"Who"
"him"
*points at the door then a cop with a gun runs out*
Rest of the cops: absolute confusion
Hahaha!!
I bet the Challenger was happy that day.
Something I noticed, when Buddy hesitates before saying he loved darling. I think that's an implication that for him, their relationship was mostly a booty call at first until he came to realize he did actually love her. That line was him coming to terms with it.
He was about to say love, then he realized she is dead so he said loved. I think you over thought it.
That’s not at all what it was. It was him correcting it to “loved” because you know, she’s dead.
I think the ambiguity is good. The fact if the matter is the script and dialogue in this film is phenomenal.
You might be overthinking it.
He only stuttered because he was originally gonna say "I love her", but instead changed it to "I loved her" since she's dead..
As the others said, but this is still a great idea, and you should always remember, media is subjective, as in, you base your own idea and opinions off of it, so if this is how you wished to see it, don’t let anyone put the idea down.
I’ve watched this scene separately with my mum and my girlfriend. Each of them made the same ooh sound when they saw him sippin his coffee
I just cant stop repeating this part..a sad but cool scene cuz of the song.
Jon Hamm in this role made me think the entire time man if JDM wasn’t negan Jon would’ve been a badass negan
everytime i saw him on screen all i could think of was negan
very good idea... you got away from the cops and have a nice car now. then lets drive in such a way that you would get pulled over in a second.
best scene in the movie
Ha ha that Challenger is an automatic.
More convenient for shooting while driving
They all are
Manual cars don’t make you cool buddy
@@daveagard1884 LOL, Watch Bullitt and tell me that.
I would really like to see Jon Hamm play a Flashpoint Thomas Wayne/Batman, I think that could work since he is much older now.
This should be an ad for coffee
I don’t think anyone else notices in the beginning, but there are two different sync patterns when baby walks into the diner, but each of them are on time. This may be the music in me, but on one of them, the baseline comes on time, and then the other comes in a bit late, but it’s still in time with the music. If you play a couple times, then you’re gonna hear a different pattern🧐
Awesome movie❤🎉😂
Great first two minutes
Very good 👍 actors and action movie 🎬

Good job 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😋😋
That song lol
What I like most about this movie is how he is out of jail before he is 80 years old. Pretty sure there dozens of bodies on this crime spree.
He got released on parole hearing after 5 years as many witnesses testified of he having a good heart while getting embroiled in the criminal activities.
Realistically, he would’ve served a minimum of 25 yrs on the strength that a lotta people died during that bank heist ordeal alone but movie’s gotta movie y’all.
@@emmanueldixon2235 It's set in Georgia where it's kinda more quirky that way.
No one died during the bank heist. That was the opening scene of the film.
During the post office heist(last one), a security guy was shot, and Baby tried to warn the woman to lay off. Anyway, that security guard is not necessarily gone.
As for the cops, well, Baby never endangered any of them directly. Buddy and Darling were the aggressors.
@@bmsuperstar1 So he's out in a few years, no sweat. Hollywood magic.
