7:43 Quintessential Mike Jackson. Love how unique his writing is and fun to see how it has evolved from VK 96, Mission Viejo (BITD), SCV 06-07, to BK to now.
I like that the narration seems to direct us through what the show concept is this year as opposed to leaving us to interpret (which I never minded though). It helps me appreciate the music that much more ❤
I had to go back and watch this a couple of times; that spock roll in the quad break; I don't get how they're able to play that roll that loose in the hands technique-wise! I mean that in a good way of course; it's just I'd be afraid I'd lose grip on the stick if I were playing that loose. That's actually kinda wild. (Cue spock roll was clean meme here).
The tenors seem to be hanging really low for some reason and they are playing great! What is the sweet spot with tenors? I know that too low or too high can be a detriment for the playing angle of the stick. Anyway, just an observation. Keep up the content! I wanna see an RCC video, there was an early video of them and the orchestration in their show is really good.
Next weekend is the Temecula Regional for SoCal and for PIW there will be Broken City, Vessel, Dark Sky, POW, and Pulse there. Some good lot videos incoming for all.
Logistically Timpani is very challenging. From storage and daily tuning and logistics of moving plus expense of instrument and lack of players are a reason why most groups don't have one.
Great bass drum unisons never get enough love.

I told him that I always look forward to every evolution.
I never realized he’s been writing this long 🔥🔥
Mike is awesome at writing his drum music
Y'all gotta watch the bass subsection clips, the content they're playing and the level of achievement this early is unbelievable
Their beats keep getting more choppy

I prefer shows that don’t leave much up to interpretation cause I’d rather just enjoy the drumming than try to dissect meaning where there isn’t any
Might be watching the champs! Basses are going nutty
Definitely seems like it’s a good year for quads. 🔥
💪
I’m working out my quads right now. Never skip leg day

bcp quad technique is all middle fulcrum so it might have something to do with that

Great early season matchup!
If only RCC was competing.
@@josephsimons4184 they never go to the Temecula Regional. I also think its their family night weekend too
you guys are pumping out these reactions 🔥
i agree i definitely feel like they’re playing some more denser things and i like it
I really like what they’re going for with the writing this year, will be fun to see how it comes together

I’ve always wondered this but Timpani seems to be one of the instruments that has aged out of WGI. Why does it feel like such a west coast thing now?
Timpani and drum set intros seem so Pulse-esque.
Logistically Timpani is very challenging. From storage and daily tuning and logistics of moving plus expense of instrument and lack of players are a reason why most groups don't have one.
I mean this is absolutely fucking crazy 😭😭😭
I’m normally not a BC fan but I really like what they’re doing this year
BC is playing with a chip on their shoulders. They’re definitely coming for Pulse this season.
Looking like a tough year for the predictions
Haha yea, could be!
What year did you guys march winter line? and you both marched X, right?
Evan did X in 2010, 2011, 2012 and I (Mike) did 2011 and 2012.
Redemption year 🥇

Hopefully we will get some better vids for infinity this weekend so y’all can do a reaction
Great playing as usual, but BC just never does it for me. Can't put my finger on it.
