When you say buffalo in Thai or Laos, you need to be careful because it could mean penis if you pronounce it slightly wrong. In the video, you have pronounced it wrong several times. (Buffalo = kwaai penis = kuai )
@@EllisWR Oh, if you ever have the occasion to see a snack of deep fried Taro dipped in sugar syrup called Kanom Hi Ma, please be careful when you say the word Hi Ma (หิมะ) = snow. Both syllables are having short vowels. The "Hi" should sound like the last 'i' in Hawaii. If you stretch out the vowels too long, instead of meaning snow, it will mean a horse or a dog's vagina. Gary Butler made a big faux pas & we had a great laugh at his expense on that episode. 🤭🤣🤣🤣 So, Buffalo ( ควาย ) = Khwaai (long vowel). Penis, sorry, I'm not sure how to spell this word in Thai, ( I left Thailand many years ago, and have not written Thai regularly for so long, but still understand the language and can speak, though when I try to speak to other Thai people here in the USA, they'd laugh at my accent, lol). It's a slang word, use mostly in Isaan region & as a cuss word in other regions, koo-wai (short vowel), when someone cussing a guy out, it would be like "Ai hua koo-wai' which means a d*ck head.
The word Kuai Laos - Water buffalo Northeastern Thai - Water buffalo The brightest mind of central Thai - “This will be the vilest slur for male genital.” You probably don’t get to eat buffalo meat in central Thailand but just in case. 😅
