The wackiness of season 12 is time 100% more compared to previous SpongeBob seasons. The thing I love with this Season is that they brought back the old background music from season 1. It really set a positive mood despite the lack of quality with the season.

That movie isn’t that great but I have to say the CGI animation is really good, better than the Sandy movie. The CGI in that movie is so bad, it looks unfinished. I thought I was looking that a cut screen from one of those SpongeBob video games. Obviously the Sandy movie had the same budget as the show. Made me think why they didn’t do the Sandy movie 2D if they didn’t had the budget to make a proper looking CGI.

Also (Possible Spoilers/heads up)- . . . There's another show called Camp Coral, but Camp Coral along with Patrick's show both take place in an alternate timelines were some things are a bit different. In fact once you guys get to the 3rd movie sponge on the run, it basically takes place in the camp corals timeline but in the future similar to the main timeline's present but with a HUGE retcon, you'll know what retcon I mean once you get to the last 20-30 minutes of the 3rd movie and that is where camp coral comes in. Lastly you'll need to watch one of the 1st 5 ep of camp coral to see why a retcon occured in the 3rd movie which I think episode 4 of camp coral addresses and fixes. just wanted to explain this so you guys don't get confused when the time comes and anybody in the comments that read this please correct me if I'm wrong on one of these statements. but just know the LOCATION Camp Coral exists in the main timeline not the events of the show. you'll find out more about sometime in season 13. sorry if this was too long

Yeah, the third movie came out on August 14, 2020 in Canada before season 13 premiered on October 22, 2020 technically.
