Yes indeed, Bridget is the daughter of Peter Fonda who was the son of Henry Fonda. Her auntie is Jane Fonda. The whole family were great actors. Jackie Brown is my favourite Tarantino film, without a doubt and is so rewatchable!
This movie is the Tarantino film that probably "jumps out" the least among his work the first time you watch it. But the funny thing is, if you revisit this movie over the years, I feel like it's one of the better ones to go back to over and over again. For a lot of the same reasons why it didn't "jump out" as much, which is because it's the most "chill" movie. It's a movie that you can put on and just chill with. Chill with the characters, chill with their stories, their lives, their motivations, etc. A lot of the other Tarantino films, they're great films, don't get me wrong, but they're often so in your face that I have to be in a certain mood to go back to them. Whereas with Jackie Brown, I can always just put it on and just sink back into the movie at any time.
"I'll bet, besides maybe an afro, you look exactly how you did at 29." "Well, my ass ain't the same." "Bigger?" "Yeah." "Ain't nothin' wrong with that!" Fun Fact: Pam Grier didn't expect her longtime friend Sid Haig to play the judge. She burst out laughing, as she was surprised by Haig, since they had starred together in several exploitation films, by which this film's style was influenced. Didn't Ask Fact: Quentin Tarantino met Robert Forster in a restaurant and handed him the script, saying basically he was going to do this. Forster was naturally thrilled, having had a major career slump. This film saw him come back in a big way, even landing an Oscar nomination. The Legend Fact: Pam Grier had screentested for the part in Pulp Fiction (1994) that eventually went to Rosanna Arquette. Quentin Tarantino didn't forget her, however, crafting the part of Jackie Brown specifically for her. Quentin Tarantino was already a huge fan of Pam Grier from her Blaxploitation films and had several posters hung up when she auditioned for this movie.
Please check out "Out of Sight" with George Clooney, Don Cheadle and J. Lo. It has a connection to this 1 that I don't want to spoil for you, but you'll love it.
"Out of Sight"- - another one of those movies you can re-watch every few years (or perhaps more) and still enjoy the heck out of it (as well as, for me anyway, George Clooney's "Michael Clayton") 😊
Y’all got deep into it 😄 and never thought about the cops getting to Sharonda lol And just realized Jackie knew it was gonna be Melanie not Sharonda at the pickup, cops didn’t… nice reaction 🤟🏼
Just joined your YT subscription. Enjoyed watching Jackie Brown. I like the dual-complementary vibe that you two have. She shares her viewpoints and he shares his view points equally & respectfully😊.
Pam Grier was fine back in the day and she still looks amazing. This movie was cast perfectly down to the small roles. I know due to copyright we didn't get to hear the soundtrack but it's great too.
A pretty wild vibe shift from this but if you want another really good Samuel L performance consider The Long Kiss Goodnight. One of those action movies from that time period that's fun as hell but doesn't get referenced back to as much.
Film makers added smoking to movies way back when - from the start (1920’s, etc.) - because it gave the actors something to do with their hands in a scene.
Why is this movie so overlooked? QT took a character from a decade that we will say was eccentric and showed how she ended up. Then gave her a little redemption angle but flavored it up with a Pulp Fictionesque dialogue and setting. Only issue is Keaton is not utilized very well here.
Another fun thing. When they’re in the house watching the movie, guy slapping the girl, the movie is called, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry. And it stars - guy doing the slapping - Peter Fonda; Bridget Fonda’s (Melanie) father.
That was actually Helmut Berger not Peter Fonda slapping her in that scene. There was a scene from Dirty Mary Crazy Larry when Bridget Fonda was watching on the couch but right before Samuel L. Jackson when to leave he asked is that Rutger Hauer and she said "No, Helmut Berger" which was weird because he wasn't in Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. I think she was either watching 2 different movies or Tarantino spliced 2 different movies together in that scene...🤷♀️ So, apparently the slapping scene was from a movie called Beast with a Gun starring Helmut Berger:)
If cigarettes bother you that much, stop watchin movies before 2000. Cuz if you can't help from commenting at the sight of every cigarette, you deserve to miss out on basically the entire histrory of cinema.
To start off this is not a negative comment towards your Channel I'm just saying it's not really a blind reaction if you read these synopsis of the film before you view it.
I like you guys reactions, but the way you cut in and out of the movie in the middle of sentences or words is just aggravating. I love this movie and I think you guys are dope but I can't watch this.
I suspect that's probably for copyright reasons, most likely the full sentence got tagged in the copyright detection thing so they probably removed a part of it to not have to exclude the entire scene they were reacting to.
@@foilhattiest1 yeah, I know. every reaction channel does that. it's the cutting in and out of sentences that is just jarring to watch. there's ways to do it that are less annoying I guess. I mean to each there own. I know the copyright stuff on youtube is absolutely horrible and it has killed a lot of channels. so you do whatever works and if this is the way that works, you do it. It's just that I can't enjoy it like that and I've seen lots of movie reactions that I did enjoy. it's not easy cutting a movie in a way that is still enjoyable AND circumvents youtube's algorith, I get that. it's just... this isn't it. at least not for me.

Jackie Brown is my favorite Tarantino movie and one of my favorites in general❤❤
Bridget Fonda is the granddaughter of Henry Fonda
I was like "Oh! Jackie Brown reaction". Stop all I was doing and enjoy.
The misread of the foot closeup is hilarious 😂IYKYK
Lol I’m not sure if they know about Quentin’s foot fetish either. I don’t think they’ve mentioned it at least.
…but it would have been epic if his fetish gave his twist away 😂 Probably would never happen bc if anyone’s paying attention to those details it him
Any other movie that closeup would have been a plot point, they were totally justified in thinking that
"IYKYK" 🙄
When you little scamps get together, you're worse than a sewing circle.
Tarantino's overlooked masterpiece! I love it so much! Pam Grier was a force!
One of Tarantino's best, and the one I probably rewatch the most. The cast is amazing. I always laugh at the line: "Demi Moore!" 😂
Yeah this one was amazing
This and Pulp Fiction I can watch anytime❤
Sharonda apparel, lmfao!! Sam's best scene at the end, he was legit scared... He knew he was walking into danger. Great reaction guys, thank you.
The young Lady so smart. You always figure it out the movie puzzles 🔥👌

Yesssss ! This is the one I’ve been waiting for
There is a sequel book by Elmore Leonard made into a movie called "Out of Sight" (1998) w/ George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, Ving Rhames
Kangol is all over this movie. 97 was Peak Kangol.
Red Apple cigarettes (opening credits airport background) are in multiple Tarantino movies.

😅or the it was a marketing technique put out by the tobacco companies....
Cant believe Max didn't go with Jackie at the end ,who could resist Pam Grier ?.
sam jack looks like he's cosplaying as that dude that kept beating daniel san up in the karate kid 3. lol
The beauty is Jackie doesn't need a Superman.
You guys guessed everything wrong 😂.
😂😂😂
The coke was added as a friendly gesture, but Jackie wasn't told about it (because she wouldn't have carried it to the USA).
The logo does a Monsters, Inc. lol.
Actually,, QT himself has a tiny cameo, his voice is on the voicemail device (''end of messages''). P.E.ace from overseas, The Netherlands.
