    I really liked how you produced a "complete" video here, I haven't seen all of your videos, but a lot of YTr's give a half or a peice of a story so you have to keep coming back for updates, this was a very welcome break from that with the whole narrative. Well done

      Most of the time they try to get everything into one video. The only down side is its hard to tell the timeline of events as the order of video releases doesn't always match up to the order things actually happened and due to their schedule and waiting time between parts of each whole video some of them take months before the full story is ready to be shown in one video.

    • @RemovingTheWingus

      @@xanopython9062 I rewatched the story, it wasn’t the original owner they met with to pick them up.
      The original owner sounded like he didn’t take care of the rattlesnakes properly, but it’s unclear if he did know how and just didn’t or he simply didn’t know. Then the original owner gave the snakes to another guy that truly didn’t know how to look after them and didn’t seem to actually want them anyway. It isn’t said how the snakes ended up with someone else, whether the second guy did want the snakes at first then changed his mind or didn’t want them to begin with and the original owner just left him with them and took off, and I doubt Em & Ed know the full story either.
      For me, as much as the original owner claimed to like his rattlesnakes, it sounded like he didn’t do proper research or attempted to do the bare minimum. Whether that was coz of financial issues or just not caring as much as he should’ve, who knows. As for the second guy, I personally don’t want to say whether or not he’s at partial fault without knowing the full story of how the exchange went and how he ended up with the snakes.
      At this point, it’s not really worth wasting energy over, this happened a while ago now. At least these snakes are getting the love and care they deserve now

    Thanks for saving those poor rattlesnakes, the state of the enclosure for the Western Diamondback was horrible. Happy to see they are in good hands now and I'm excited for all that's in store for your rattlesnake education program! Rattlesnakes are so feared and maligned and I hope that with your zoo and program you will be able to spread awareness about them and help people understand and respect them.
    It makes me so sad that there are still rattlesnake roundups in the U.S. and I hope that your education program will help people realize how important rattlesnakes are so that people will want to conserve instead of kill them.

I'm not even particularly scared of snakes, and I know many people are. That said, I hope I would pour them water through the grate. (I think I followed the story properly - that their original owner left these snakes with a second man, who reached out to the woman who reached out to Emily? I could see the second man being understandably frustrated to suddenly have such a spicy responsibility, I think most people would be.)
      I hope their last temporary owner did give them water through the grate, and just let it dry up when they knew Emily was coming to pick the snakes up, because they didn't want it to make a mess during transit.

    Thank you for doing this for these poor babies that don't have anyone else. As someone who rescues roosters, I'm used to the stigma of helping "emotionless" or "evil" animals, so watching you guys work with neglected reptiles feels like a natural stretch to me. I hope they all find lives they're happy with.

      Who in the world considers a rooster an "evil" or "emotionless" animal? Chickens have SO MUCH personality, especially roosters. (I'm partial to silkies, personally). It's literally their shtick to be show-offs. Also, animals don't even have the capacity to be evil; they don't have morals because they're animals. People are really crazy sometimes.

    • @ConstantChaos1
      @ConstantChaos1 2 роки тому +21

      Can I ask how you rescue roosters? We had loads of rescue/unwanted chickens and ducks when I was younger, but still had issues with too many boys and usually had to give away roosters to farms or give them away (they would all go to good homes though!). How do you deal with a lot of males while keeping everything peaceful? (Asking because I'm interested in rescuing chickens again when I'm older)

    • @electrowave114
      @electrowave114 2 роки тому +9

      @@kirin1230 I'm not an expert, but from what I've read, you can keep roosters in all-male flocks _so long as_ there are *no* hens anywhere they can see. If there are no hens, they're much less likely to compete with each other and far less inclined to get violent.
      I'd recommend doing extenive research, however, and asking verified experts before rescuing roosters, though. They can be perfectly good and manageable animals, you just need to really know what you're doing.
      It also depends on breed - if you're rescuing illegal cockpit fighters, they'll have to be kept in individual cages (with plenty of space), because those are specifically bred, raised, and trained for extreme aggression.

      @@urgae9125 yeah I would assume fire fighters would know how to identify venomous snakes and especially rattlesnakes seen as most also work as EMS

      @@insertnamehere6960 no, they don't. They know how to give you medical attention, not discern which species is which. If any animal is venomous, it should be clearly marked venomous.

      @@theclimbingchef in the UK at least before you’re even taught what to do if you get bitten by an adder you’re taught how to know if it’s an adder or a grass snake (we only have two native species and only the adder is venomous) but I would assume anybody working in EMS would have to know how to identify if a snake is even venomous and if so what kind of snake it is to effectively treat as correct me if I’m wrong but I’m fairly sure different snakes require different treatments

    To be honest, I just started watching you guys a couple days ago, and I got really interested! My family owns 3 reptiles and I just really like how you take care of all the animals you have! Keep it up! You are amazing!
