Can someone explain what happened? It looks like he was falling real fast to the ground, but when he was about to land, it seemed like 2 parachuters were open, and he released one of them..
Basically his AAD went off after his primary canopy was released (so he was flying with two canopies). This may have been a result of him waiting too long to pull. It looks like this was the case even while he was still stable (at the beginning of the video). However, when he turned left, his canopies started downplaining, so he had no lift. If he had kept going straight, he could’ve landed safely with both canopies.
He was swooping. He has a very small canopy and hes very experienced at flying towards the ground very fast and skimming across the ground at high speeds before coming to a running stop.
