So for both aerials it's a specific timing of the aerial, how long you drop ledge for and your aerial drift. You will know if you get it if you're actionable instantly. I would try to mimic the examples as best you can. (I really should've put controller overlay on for this one)
@ShoTV so u drift off and then drift back on?? like... because the ECB's in this game cheat? like when u can horizontal waveland onto plat even tho ya are inside it?
This might be related to teeter cancels, which is a tech from melee where if you go to the very edge of a platform you cancel all lag because you go into your teeter animation (rivals 2 doesn't have a teeter animation but the tech still works)
So at least my understanding of an edge cancel is that your drift pushes you off the edge during your recovery frames making you instantly actionable in the air. That doesn't seem to be what's happening here because you are grounded so I have no idea what's happening here.

@@RandomDude647 no, just look into aerial interrupts. That's all this is. certain moves have startup frames that if canceled don't result in any land lag, and because the move may shift your characters ECB down early, you become grounded. This is often performed from the ledge in melee with Samus Uair and a few other characters.
I think you're confusing aerial interrupts with autocancels. The ai just causes the character to land earlier than it should, the lagless-part comes from landing during the ac-window. Zetter has no ac-window right after his dair/upair become active, so that wouldn't explain why he is actionable right after, even if it were an ai. He also doesnt land earlier than he would have without the aerial, so it's not an ai. Idk what it is tho. My bet is its an rivals2-exclusive reverse teether-cancel.
How do you slip off the ledge and then land on the stage to do grounded attacks?

aren't these aerial interrupts not edge cancels?
Honestly it's kind of hard to tell, the D-air one cancels instantly so I feel like it's an edge-cancel

I assume that this can be done with every character?
There's a good chance every character has something. I saw Void doing some similar stuff with Fors.
as long if the move doesn’t move u too much like orcane uair/fair it’s fairly easy to do with most moves
