I never liked running boards. Around here they half rotted off anyway.... Looks like it's getting better yeah I hate doing body work myself I got a little car when I retired a little Corolla it's like 25 years old it'll probably outrun me. But I had to do some body work then I just painted it with a roller and a brush. But I don't care how it looks it just gets me around in the winter
That's all you need! This will be a work truck, regardless of how nice I make it, but I'd like to try and make it as good as I can. Especially not being a body guy... But it's a great truck and deserves a bit of love I think.
What kind of paint are you going to use ? I found a urethane enamel single stage is cost effective and a really durable finish you can buff beautiful . Check it out ! 👍👊
Not sure yet. Local paint suppliers are few and far between around me these days. Used to be one down the road... Still looking, but cost effective and decent. I'll probably do some sort of base clear only because I think we're going to keep the two tone. Still thinking on that....
My little car it always had a roof leak I thought somewhere cuz water is getting into the trunk. Well I got to investigating and I think either somebody jumped up and down on the roof or a tree hit it and I only paid 200 bucks for this Corolla Lady I worked with. A lady I worked with she took it somewhere and they couldn't get the drain plug out they said Well it's kind of junk I said Well what are you going to do with it I said she said Well I'll take it to the junkyard I said Well I'll give you 200 bucks for it. She just put new tires on it but it turned out there was like 10 lb of bond on the roof so I end up bang in the middle upward fixing the rust holes and then I did the roof in bedliner that rubber bed liner so it's a black and white black hood black trunk I was going to paint the doors black Make it look like a little cop car from the '60s lol but I never did the doors it's just something gets me from a to b
Well you're making progress.
Slowly but surely!
That does look better.
Thanks!
Haha, We’ve gotta fix that bled door actuator!
YES!
I put nerf bars on my 92 1 ton Gmc ,was pretty easy and looked decent.
I may go back to some bars, but it's low and don't think I need them. I do miss the side step for the bed though...

Be careful of overspray
When it comes to real primer I will. I'm terrible with the masking part. I see that being a Dottie job in the future!
Should have just left the running boards on it peace ✌️
I've been on the fence with that one. But they need to come off for the rust repair anyways and now that they're off I think it will stay that way.

That's all you need. A good buddy of mine had a super cheap Corolla back in the day too, ended up using it as a loaner vehicle.
