Acha laga sir
good lecture but i am unable to understand your written letters please write properly
And last bahoot accha tha lacture
Nice
In vedas were only four dharma or caste but now we have 4400 something which made by our folly not by vedas
And premise of four caste were very practical
In gita forth chapter shree krishan said to arjuna
चातुर्वर्ण्यं मया सृष्टं गुणकर्मविभागशः।
And this is very practical
Oviously which work is done by us that's symbolies us
good
optimistic nihilism, active nihilism and existentialism are the same
Charvaka , basically promotes pleasures of different types. Living in a chimera ..
Keep it up
8:28 agree, be ur self
Cool
Plz make a video on the topic: western influence on modern indian philosophers.
haha, the presenter himself should be the object of that study (since he is thoroughly deracinated)
2:57 not sixteenth but sixth century BCE.
Thanks for figuring out my mistakes & correcting them everytime! Appreciate it man....
Brother Thales have told that everything made by water
Well , I m great follower of charvaks not in bad quality but of the way they describe of life death and karma cycles .. that's what I believe that they are truthful , but of course , there must be some moral grounds .. one must have some way of life , rest I don't believe in reincarnation.. great work babaji
💚✨🌷
Did charvaka know vedas completely?
I will have to dive deeper into their philosophy & history to stand a better stance to answer this question. As I have told in previous lectures, what I learn I try to explain in the form of a lecture along my philosophical journey.
Nope charvakas totally disgreed with vedas.. Charvakas don't follow vedas...
good
Desi philosopher at it again, Masterclass of a lecture mate, Loved the way you gave a historical context of what was happening in Hellenistic world when charvaka SOT was battling in North India for supremacy.
One thing missed would be the mention of back and forth between Charvaka scholars and Brahmins scholars (modern context:- Hindu), There are many Anti-Charvaka stances in Hindu scriptures (that were composed in Vedic era or just after the Vedic era).
Examples of such Anti charvaka stances are found even in Bhagavad Gita:
"From anger, delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost, one falls down again into the material pool."
-Bhagavad Gita 2:63
"Bewildered by the material energy, such persons embrace demoniac and atheistic views. In that deluded state, their hopes for welfare are in vain, their fruitive actions are wasted, and their culture of knowledge is baffled."
- Bhagavad Gita 9:12
These kind of back-and-forth happened between Charvakas and Buddhists, Charvakas and Jains.
Yes, this was planned for some other lectures, I have noted all the points you have injected. Thanks!
I think 2:63 doesn't refer to charvakas. I can say for the 9:12. But it's not directly target towards charvakas.
