      Such a sweet comment! Sometimes you start editing and insecurities come knocking. I thought the visual was relevant but my gutt wanted to erase the images. I felt discomfort seeing my own flaws up so close. So far people seem to really appreciate it so its great feedback! I will step out of my comfort zone and make sure I will also do extreme close ups.

    Hi ! Thank you for featuring the new Rose skin tint. It’s highly possible that the sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid or HA) is causing the skin on your nose to peel. HA is known to cause skin dehydration in dry climates - HA binds with the moisture in the air, but if there is not enough air moisture, it will pull it out of the skin, and make it peel. It’s best to use products containing HA in summer, when the environmental humidity can get pretty high. So, for now, I will continue with the Chanel and try the Rose Inc. this summer. (I hope you do an update video about it during the summer.)

      Wow Jocelyne I am in awe! You are so knowledgeable about the formula. I was thinking about passing it along. I tend to do that with foundation and cream products especially coz they expire sooner and I want my makeup to find a good home. Now I am considering holding on to it.... I might need a darker shade though. For a light/medium neutral undertone I thought this one was mainly light! At least lighter than expected. Hmmm.... I will think about it.

      Thank you for this info!! I had the same thing happen to me with the Rose, Inc. I couldn’t figure out why that was happening to me! Makes sense now! 😊 I will have to return my shade 40 for a darker one though. A little surprised how light it was!

      That’s brilliant. Thank you! I live in a very humid town. It’s never dry, if anything it gets down to 50% humidity. But during the summer it rains everyday so we have 90%+ humidity. I will give this product a try. Thanks ❤️

      Owh Kat thats so nice! My insecurity came knocking after having to edit this video and having to look at my my own face close up. • @sonia.butler
      @sonia.butler  2 роки тому

      Hi! Totally valid if you want to try both. My review is purely so you can see that these two look very similar in formula but won't be the same. I mention I have complicated and high demanding skin. So these results won't be the same for everyone. Best to go into your purchases with all the knowledge.
      A subbie told me I should try the rose inc one in summer for potential other results due to climate and thats what I will do! Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the video! It means a lot.

    I was so curious about this because I’m almost out of my water tint-which is my all time favorite. I think you’re the only one that’s mentioned the nuance vs saying they are the same. I’ve actually used Chanel for priming and touch ups on top of being a foundation on super lazy days. The Rose Inc def looks more pigmented. I don’t think it’ll have the flexibility of multitasking. They both look great on you but I do prefer the Chanel water tint on you. I was hoping the Rose Inc would be an alternative but I think I’ll stick with the water tint. Thank you!!!!

      I use the chanel one for multiple uses as well! I can mix it in with my lighter complexion products or with complexion products that are think and I want to add a Liquid to to mix. Mainly as a foundation on lazy days. It's one of my favorite complexion products till date. This video rekindled the spark I have for this water tint. So many foundations launches at the moment its hard to navigate and we should forget our favorites. I am also sticking to my chanel one. The Rose Inc. tinted serum performed the exact same on my skin, exacerbating all my dry, patchy areas, so you're definitely not alone! I find these to be very different. The Rose Inc one is much more pigmented, and on me, it seems to lay on top of, not meld with my skin, whereas the Chanel one sinks in and becomes one with the skin. I probably wouldn’t buy either again, I have tried mixing liquid foundations with serums and light moisturizers and get the same result. As for the 12 month self life, I think both could last a lot longer, being in pumps and not exposed to air every time you open them.

    Don't be so hard on yourself. You're beautiful and your skin is beautiful! =) Thanks for the comparison. I was considering the No 1 Chanel because I'd never tried their foundation before, but now you've given me another option to consider from them. Do you tend to have dry skin overall? Always looking for products that work well with dry skin,)

      Hi Teresa, I have Combo Skin so my foundation requirements are high! I have dry patches on my nose, nostril flares and under my eyes. Especially in winter time I have flakies.
      My Cheeks, T zone and my eyelids are extremely oily. Hence the pore problem.
      I love both the chanel no1. foundation and this water tint by chanel. They don't serve the same purpose for me. The coverage on the no1 is buildable light to medium coverage whereas the water tint is a light to almost no coverage but it is something special in my collection. If you want something that is just a sheer coverage that evens out your skintone a little this beautiful. A no makeup makeup glow.
      If you need a proper foundation and enjoy a little more makeup on a daily basis. Or you want your foundation to be buildable for those extra badass days No1 is my recommendation.

    Your skin is beautiful but like you I also have sebum on my nose. It’s completely natural and there is nothing wrong with it. It will actually help you not age so fast. But I just want you to know that a chemical exfoliant like Paula’s Choice BHA or The Ordinary Peeling Solution will clear the sebum and dry skin around your nose and on your cheeks. I promise I have the same skin like you and chemical exfoliation really works for the nose skin issues. Your skin is absolutely gorgeous and very youthful. Hi Marie! I had to dig in my mental archives. This is what u have tried in the past. It's Skin tint / Tinted moisterizer
      Drugstore:
      L'oreal Tinted water cream. It looks really nice. Natural finish. My only problem was getting the right shade match but a great drugstore option for the summer. From memory it does contsin witch hazel as a skincare benefit. some love it and for some cant stand it. So that is important. I really liked it. I just love my luxury beauty better!
      High end. My first tinted moisterizer was the NARS pure radiant Tinted moisterizer. I used to live in Asia and I bought this coz it also contains spf30. This was such an easy lightweight product. But again some hate spf and some love it. I loved the shade range of his and loved the finish. I finished it and repurchased it. It's been a while since I used it. But worth checking out!
      Luxury. Chantecaille is having a sale today. It's hella pricey but I love both the just Skin cushion. A lightweight cushion foundation. I also love the tinted moisterizer as well, but I use it more often in the winter when my skin is a little dryer. It's better value for money than the cushion.
      If I can think about anything else I will let you know. Haha this is what came up.

      @sonia.butler  2 роки тому +1

      It is sooo pricey indeed and when I purchased my first bottle i had my reservations about the formulation. Just the idea of a water tint. BUT, it actually performs better on my than some other tints that contain a buttload of ingredients and less water. Also, if you can get it on a sale it can be as much or even cheaper than the rose inc. one.
      But I admit, with luxury beauty, we got to justify the price for ourselves. If we cant than it would be a waste.💗 save your money for something special.

      Compared to my body its a tad too Dark imo but when the summer hits this is such a beautiful match. Probably one of my favorite products by chanel.
