Tychus was Jimmy's friend. Mengsk knew what Tychus wanted him to know. When Tychus said, "Are you reading all of this?" he was questioning whether or not he would still have to kill Kerrigan.
@TheKillerofhipies In the single-player campaign, yes. Each of the races are getting their own full game. The next game will be the zerg campaign called The Heart of the Swarm. The final one of the trilogy will be Legacy of the Void and will feature the protoss. In multiplayer, however, you can play as any of the three races to their fullest extent. The two additional games will bring more units to the multiplayer facet ala Brood War.
@TheOmnimex Kerrigan's control of the Zerg is removed for now. She will probably regain some control in the upcoming expansion, but she's her human self, who refers to Raynor as "Jim".
I've watched every single vid in this list and i gotta say its been awesome. I dont play starcraft but have been watching alot of HD, Husky, Psy commentaries and the ocasional TB "I Suck at Starcraft" vid. Needless to say, its on my "to get soon" list.
@Angelofrock24 There's a secret mission that you can obtain in the level where you have to take over the broadcast towers with Tychus Findlay. Once you go to Char, though, you can't get it/do it; You have to start the campaign over.

As some other guy wrote - there's a deeper meaning with the pistol - Raynor kept one bullet in his pistol and that was for Archturus however in the moment of Kerrigans rescue he decided to 'give' that bullet to Tychus to save Kerrigan's life.

The Xel´Naga created both Zerg and Protoss so they will meet and through them the Xel´Naga could be reborn (yes the Zerg and Protoss are part of the reproduction cycle of the Xel´Naga, but the process isn´t clear), however the Hybrids are not a parat of this cycle, they are completly unatural and controled through the "Dark Voice", who seems to be an enemy of the Xel´Naga, wich may or may not be a fallen Xel´Naga himself.
@mat2th If you play the game, you'll learn more, but basically the device that Zeratul gave Raynor shows that Kerrigan is the only one that can save all races from annihilation from the returning Xel'Naga.
@MTWEmperor that's a good point, hell to me she looks more hybrid instead of infected a combo of both gene types, this means when the Xel'naga return they have the Protoss, Terran, and the Zerg united to deal with HELLS YEAH!
@Parabuthus Phoenix was a Protoss hero in StarCraft Broodwar and friends with Jim Raynor. After Kerrigan killed Phoenix Jim swore to take revenge on Kerrigan. I guess he had a change of heart.
@terranark the overmind was controled and so were the zerg, to wipe out the protoss. so the overmind managed to create kerrigan, who(as pointed out in SC1) was not connected to him as the cerebrates were, but could control the swarm. and so she and the zerg are beyond the hybrid's reach-they won't be enslaved. and now, kerrigan is human again, and she will(probably)at some point in the next game regain control of the swarm to fight the hybrid.hint-she still has dreadlock-like hair

@bemartial I think she's a zerg-human hybrid now, and she has the heart of a human but the abilities of the zerg overmind (able to control the Swarm). We'll have to see in a year. :)

I have to play through the campaign again and make different decisions to get the rest of them. :) The two with Zeratul are in order. When Zeratul gives Raynor the device on the Hyperion, you use it to see what happened to Zeratul before he saw you. When we first see Zeratul on the Hyperion, it's after his confrontation with Kerrigan and it's why he's injured.

@terranark Have you played the campaign all the way through? I'm not going to give any spoilers, but there's definitely something major going on beyond what these cut scenes show. Many players suspect that she will still have control over the zerg swarm as she appears to be a human-zerg hybrid now, but her heart will be human.
Well this is nice to know.. i spent thousands of uncountable hours on the old game... (along with hundreds of others.. like Civilization 2, Age of Empires, C&C, FFTactics, Tactics Ogre) .,... playing the AI.. the multiplayer.. or just connecting to my buddy across town on that old school 56k modem. And its nice to see that the revival of the series is not wasted.
@thenanyka an ATMOSPHERE not a surface. They were opening their helmets, Warfield included. Also, it could not rain if there was a surface that burned. No rain = no life = no Zerg.

Um, I'm not sure why he was making the hybrids but they certainly did not turn out to be the way the Xel'Naga would have wanted them to be. I'm thinking the Dark Voice (different from the Voice in the Darkness) may have been guiding him... but other than that. The last two sentences are said with uncertainty, but I'm sure of the facts in the first sentence.

@yisoonshin12 There's no Overmind anymore but Kerrigan and Nova are theoretically the strongest of the ghosts in terms of psionic powers, although Kerrigan is probably stronger. But Kerrigan's also touched the mind of the Overmind and also lead the Zerg. I think that it mentioned in Heart of the Swarm Kerrigan would be the protagonist by "taming" the zerg which I think might be possible since she's so dang strong

@zianghou88 Who ever that dark voice was in the Overmind's vision that was commanding those Zerg/Protoss hybrids, most likely will be the new villian in the series. The Zerg were not originally evil, they were corrupted by an outside force (as stated by Tassadar's ghost).
@EreinionEluchil Well it clearly says starcraft 2 cutscene which means starcraft 2 if you knew what the graphics of starcraft 1 look like you would know to exit out as soon as you saw the first 10 seconds. starcraft and the word cutscenes are both words in starcraft 2 cutscenes maybe this wouldn't have happened if you read more before looking. Why not just read things first.
@lipnoodle117 he was in the starcraft 1 campaign i remember and he was your ally for a while then it turns out he's been like in alliance with the zerg the entire time. I don't think he was infested. I think he chose to be on their side or something. Maybe like kerrigan but more willingly than that. and i truthfully don't remember killing him so he probably is still on the loose.

Poor Tychus... He didn't really want to kill Kerrigan for Jim's sake, but he knew he was going to die no matter what he chose to do. I think this scene is really emotional not because Jim is finally reunited with Kerrigan, but because Tychus chose to be killed by the hands of his friend rather than Mengsk.

It is the best scene from SC 2. Sarah has returned! I was afraid that she does not become more person. But if to remember a plot she will star. It will be interesting to me that further. I want the following part of the trilogy. I hope Blizzard will not kill Kerrigan in the end.
The Kerrigan in Brood War was warped and being control by zerg parasite that was using her as a sort of host. Now that the parasite side of her was obliterated, the 'real' Kerrigan was able to take back control of herself

@Titanblade007 I disagree. Tychus surely didn't believe that Raynor would kill him if he shot Kerrigan. It's implied to the player of course that Raynor would do anything to save her, but Tychus never actually understands their relationship completely. Obviously he's completing Mengsk's contract to be freed from his marine suit and would imagine that his and Raynor's past would trump Kerrigan and Raynor's. But it didn't.
@Jagonunit Because it's stated that they are supposed to be put into Cryosleep naked to avoid buns to the skin, so, as if Wars didn't screw up the Canon of Halo already, it also screwed up some of the science. Also, not really a good game, it was REALLY simple, even for people like me who don't play RTS games that much.

I haven't read any of the books, so I'm not sure if they kept this mission as canon, but given the conclusion of the Wings of Liberty, it looks like they did. If they do it right, I think they will make his reappearance just at the climax of the trilogy in Legacy of the Void. I agree they should and probably will.
She still has those dreads which look kinda like the dreads of Gestalt Zero the Protoss Human Hybrid. This must mean that she still has awesome psionic powers.

First i didn't like Starcraft but through this series iv'e come to respect it. I hope the other 2 games of SC II are as good as this seems to be.
