Not saying the pinky is useless or anything of course but if you watch most of the great guitar players play, they very rarely use the pinky. A lot of players find it more comfortable to play that way. Don't watch the video and just listen and tell me if you can hear where using the pinky would be better lmao

On the contrary: The nice tone you have need stregth in the fingers so you can do the bends and virbrato. I would not use my pinky for expressive notes like this either. I personlay have some blues-lick that would fit to this type of music and for these licks you have to use the pinky. But every thing that you played here - no pinky is needed. - Again: Great tasteful melody choice and great tone.
