Dan Campbell has more accountability than any other coach in the league
Accountability yes but he has to get better as a game manager and a decision maker. Those are the kind of mistakes a rookie coach makes not someone who's been to the NFC title game. He has to get better. Goff has to play better too which he will. It's a collective effort.

I feel ya. 1. Goff was in shotgun way too much 2.Too many empty sets not enough play action. 3. Goff throwing before the sticks on every 3rd and long. That last throw at the end was just pathetic. Atleast try for the endzone
They were just trying something new Mann trying to switch it up so when it come playoff time u can turn it up
Asking Dan about the tailgate shooting is just stupid. I understand what the reporter is looking for and while we value Dan as a leader this is far from what we should be expecting from him. I loved his response

Why did Goff throw the ball 50x instead of running the ball 40x
Bucs run defense is very strong, and they have a young secondary/injured safeties. I agree tho, they should have run the ball far more, Montgomery is a beast.

Check the tape, there were many times he was wide open. Goff made a lot of bad decisions on top of Ben's bad play calling

It's so almost impossible to go undefeated. It's not the end of the world losing and you half to hand it to the men on the other side that won the battle but it makes you feel good when your leader is worried most about making sure the loss has purpose that fix problems so the next battle with them by any is tougher.

The 72 Dolphins will be THE ONLY undefeated team in NFL history. The Lions have one of THE BEST HC in The NFL. Campbell literary has a relationship with every single player. That's, to me, is more important than anything else. The Xs and Os will work itself out. It's the leadership and the fact he has "Set The Pace" that's so important. The Lions are in every game. They play hard on every play. GM Brad Holmes and his staff have provided amazing players. When ALL the smoke clears and a long hard season ends, The Lions will be in the playoffs.

Yes but it is. Its his call at the end of the day and he didnt make adjustments. That being said, he knows that, Ben knows that and they wont make these mistakes again.

@coreypatterson1007 that's on Ben, in large part, as well. He shouldn't be throwing the ball that much! Our RBs allow him to get in his grove and pick defenses apart. Without it, he's not the same QB.

Goffs pocket presence is off because he is constantly getting pressure up the a gaps. Ben Johnson can help by having safety routes below the zone and having Laporta do more in the passing gm.

Glasgow played REALLY bad. I lot of pressure on Goff came through him.

Never might be a stretch, but I agree with you on the whole. Any open set on "in short" situation is completely handcuffing this offense.
I don't love the open set anyway, but do it on 1st down if you're even going to do it.

Not running the ball after Vea went out is absolutely mind boggling, as is having a QB who couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn yesterday continue to throw the ball so many times after multiple turnovers.

I'm a huge Goff supporter, but yeah Goff needs to pull it together. He has opportunities and he needs to hit them. I'm trusting it's just a rough patch and it'll sort out.

Everybody knows that when he said it wasn’t just one guy’s fault that he was talking about Goff. Goff knows what he did, and will work it out. Publicly shaming him would not accomplish anything.

Lions fans need a reality check
I said it in the spring and I'll say it again, they're gonna miss Josh Reynolds. Sure, he didnt have a ton of yards, but dude came up big when it mattered, and was very good in the red zone. Yeah, he had a bad game in the NFCCG. But imho the recency bias of the NFCCG made them make an error. It's not a huge error, but the NFL is a game of inches and it could make a difference.
I agree I keep saying the same he was important to our offense the moment he got here, he was our third down machine and especially in the redzone
2 amazing running backs and incredible o-line but let's have Goff throw 52 times.
If the Lions just kicked a field goal on first down everytime they got within 60 yards, they would have won by 20. Wasted so much time in the red zone for nothing.

We do not have talented defense and our 1st round pick DE is on IR and 2nd year DE tore ACL before the season. Our defense is cooked unless we make a big trade. Lions will be fine against us next week.

Started 1-1 last year and won the Division, soooo....! Having to play these two teams to start the year off AFTER BEATING THEM BOTH IN THE PLAYOFFS LAST YEAR, is not a good judge of how the rest of the teams they play will be against them. Plus, refs held their whistles for TB time and time again, Goff saw it, Defense felt it. ... Still, had they scored a td before the half, or just thrown into the endzone and getting a td or an incomplete pass, they would have been better off in the rest of the game. Wish some "journalists" would ask about the officials and lack of accountability and make it public. Laporta was held ALL game and Jamo had an unnecessary roughness- personal foul-illegal hands to the face - no called for him on the first play of offense, directly after a no called Pass Interference/ illegal contact that lead to the INT. Where is the referee accountability? Send that tape to the league and lets hear an apology...bare minimum! That said, Coaches gotta be smarter, players gotta play better... TB is a really good team with a really good coach... Where you at Carlton Davis? Did he not know Godwin and Evans were good and how to handle them? ... Robinson bit way too hard on that Td, and didn't hustle back... Weak sauce! It will all be better. Gooooo Lions!

No running game, no play action, no tight end plays, one reverse, one long ball, 55 passes? Red zone is all dink and dunks, throwing the ball into the end zone would have been a plan...offensive coordination was laughable. My 70 year old Mother could have called a better game. Go Lions.
